I kinda wish they have an outdoor observation deck like Rockefellar Center (I like this one better since it's not fenced like the Empire State Building Observation Deck). But oh wells~

I wish they put more design passion into this one. Its simplicity leaves us wanting more.

Maybe, but at the same time, it is thoughtful (the split down the center is supposed to signify the old city center), and for Seoul's first supertall (super-supertall), I think it's really very nice. Besides, it'll dominate the skyline of this part of the city for a long, long time, or at least until the Hyundai Global Business Center starts to go up!

I wonder if this crazy weather will slow construction. It's raining so much, I don't see how it could not. Maybe I'll go down to Jamsil today to see the site...hm. I hope that those construction dates aren't optimistic.

According to a report, Lotte is claiming that this tower will be 9-11 proof. In other words, it can withstand airplane crashes. They say this is made possible by using fiber-reinforced concrete. Is that even possible?

They did that to Shanghai Tower, parts of the concrete are supposedly reinforced with carbon fibres

Many years ago, I've been to a Lotte Department Store in Seoul that had attached also a Lotte Hotel and an Amusement Park. Is the tower build within, or near the same complex?

I've also stayed in Lotte Hotel in Jeju-do. A very nice one I would add.

Can someone explain to me what's happening at this site? Is it similar to the bathtub used at the WTC site?

Why is there so much space between what would appear to be the perimeter of the building itself and the ground? Will all of that space be below grade floors?

This building will be mega awesome. It's design make it appear so massive.

Btw, I have an kinda off topic question, what is this carbon fiber reinforced concrete?
