You manage to get Songpa/Gangnam/Seocho, Yeouido, and a lot of Jongno in one vista. Granted, a lot of it is quite far away, but Seoul is a big place, after all.
For me the best place to take a picture is Inwangsan.
Namhansanseong is nice, but you might struggle to see Gangnam and are even less likely to see Namsan. Songpa, Gangdond and Gwangjin are nice but, apart from LWT, they're not the most exciting districts.

From Inwangsan, you get to see Gyeongbokgung, Jongro, Namsan, Yongsan, Yeouido... You can look back and see Sangam DMC. You can see the Samseong-dong part of Gangnam (that isn't hidden by Namsan, and assuming the weather is good, you can get a good view of the LWT as well.
From Inwangsan, the only things that you can't really see are the Gangnam Finance Building (aka Star Tower), if I remember correctly.

Of course, Namhansanseong has it charms as well (the fortress is just awesome), and it's closer to LTW, but for the rest, I'd say Inwangsan all the way.

Finally the historic day has come: After years and years of watching the tower rise, we can finally celebrate the top-out!

And in about 7 months we can celebrate the official opening!
Can't wait for the interior and the unique observatory!

How bittersweet. :') After following this for years, we've made it to the end guys haha Can't wait for it to be fully finished and visit the observatory!

road view

If you by car then it very easily to access that photo zone.
1. turn on navigation : input 국청사 : famous temple of Namhansansung(남한산성)
2. parking there. go up to hill only 2 minute
3. at top follow fortress road then easily find "photo zone"
If you have any question about travel then just call 120 and asking ENGLISH SERVICE 24 hour service for people(this is official seoul city's english guide they will help u any thing)

If u by subway
1. take off 마천역 and hiking to top photo zone
2. take off 산성역 and take in bus to 국청사

http://shutterdodem2.tistory.com/419

봉수대 photo zone
Thank you so much! Sorry but I should've been clear, I meant the shots which were taken across the river with the bridges in the foreground I'd like to try shooting from there haha

Unless I have a native Seoul guide I don't think I can manage to navigate and get up to that hill-spot all by myself

KT will proposed to build a 160m tall hotel complex next to LWT:

thread: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1841282

Also there will be a huge apartment redevelopment project, where several modern highrise buildings will be erected:
(Probably 135m x 6)

Night view over han river by Aaron Choi, Flickr에서

Above photos taken at 매봉산공원(maebongsan park)

Above photos taken at 매봉산공원(maebongsan park)
This is URL
http://map.naver.com/index.nhn?menu=...el=n-f&enc=b64

1. TAKE OFF AT Beotigogae Station(6line)
2. exit 3(number 3 exit)
3. Look up higher then you can see a mountain that is 매봉산(maebong)
OR asking people where is maebongsanpark? /NAMSAN TOWN apartment?
4. From station to maebongsan very near only 10 minute by walk
5. Go up n hiking(in the night good) Seoul is world top safety city don;t worry criminal
6. go to top(summit) then you can see traditional korean style house that is call 정자 observation deck)
7. But I believe that above photos not taken at top but down hill somewhere. So I recommend you from top to down hill and carefully finding same position with above angle. standard point is APARTMENT

Wonderful pictures of the top-out.

Question: why are so many roofs in Seoul green in color?
