Over the past few days:
- One lpreviously uncladded block (around 115th floor) has been entirely cladded.
- Since yesterday, it seems like they've started the cladding where the 2nd mini-crane was (at the 123rd floor or so)
- There were individual uncledded "windows", one every couple of floors, where the lower elevator was. It seems that almost all of these spots have now been cladded

It seems there are ongoing conspiracy theories that sinkholes around the Jamsil area are a result of the LWT construction. More info here.

More pictures I took about 2 hours ago from Olympic Park. Enjoy the glory of my smartphone's crappy camera with what is actually a fairly nice vantage point.

Ah, okay! Thanks for the context, though that seems to be more fear-mongering than anything. Is there any substantive evidence that has been found to prove the "conspiracy theories"?

The short answer is no. There have been sporadic problems in the area fairly close to Lotte World Tower, but it seems that they have been talked about because of a selective biais.

For sinkholes in that neighborhood, if there is an underlying cause, it would more probably be the construction of the subway line 9 extension, rather than LWT.

Also, and even more importantly, there have been sinkholes in many places around Seoul recently and the city is trying to tackle the issue. There was a huge one that swallowed people up in Yongsan about a year ago, and others all around the city.

Here is an article about what the city has been doing to try to repair them: http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20160420000970

So, long story short: sinkholes in Seoul have been a problem of late, but there hasn't been any evidence that I know of pointing to Lotte World Tower being the cause.

Some workers having a nice lunch break at Seoul's highest place.

The reason for this is today's 초복 ("dog day"), the start of the hottest period of the year, based on the traditional Korean calendar. If you want to know more about it, here is some more info: http://samedi.livejournal.com/339885.html
