I think the current design looks way better than the old design. The current design is the most beautiful non-right angle building of all times

I quite agree with you on that one. The construction is getting better.

While I am okay with the design, I don't feel that it's great. Some of the rejected designs do look better in my opinion.

You might have reasons why you think so. Are those evidences actually substantial enough to prove that they are better designs looking at the renderings? However, I still think the current design would create more impact on the location better than the others.

This tower is really huge. The location is perfect, between Seokchon lake and the Jamsil financial district. I'd love to see this completed.
By the way, here are some photos I took when I was in Seoul last July. Although, bit late of an update, it's still interesting to see it from another angle.

I thought Chinese were constructing the tallest tower in Asia. If I were right, this should probably be the second tallest in Asia when completed.

Yes, the Chinese are constructing the tallest of Eastern Asia (not entire Asia because then the Burj Khalifa is the tallest), but Lotte Jamsil Tower (unfortunately) won't be the second tallest, only the 5th tallest if the Greenland Center in Wuhan (606m) will be built. The other three tallest will be:
Ping'an IFC (660m) in Shenzhen,
Shanghai Tower (632m) in Shanghai and
Goldin Finance 117 (597m) in Tianjin. All of the three supertalls are already U/C.
But I lately also heard of a 650m tower that will be built in Guangzhou. Currently the project has been approved.
If this case becomes real, the Lotte Jamsil Tower only will be the 8th tallest worldwide, but a quite nice design!

But don't worry, the most important of a skyscraper is not its height, the design is much more important, although the height makes it looking more amazing I must say.

This is not even funny...this design is a complete rip off of Renzo Piano's Shard London Bridge...

Ugh, this just isn't true....The only similarity they share is that they taper from top to bottom (and even that is different--progressive versus consistent) and the opening at the top.

They have different shapes--round-sided versus angular--and the Shard is three "points" to its crown, and this has two. Nevermind the different scales of the building.

I sware, Korea does anything great and it just must be a copy. I'm not even Korean and that makes me mad.

I quite agree with you that it looks more like Shard in relative term than any other building, looking at it from first view. When the details are sorted out one by one it begins to come into clarity to see the differences in absolute term. I still think it's one great building like my all time most beautiful skyscraper in Europe, the Shard.

Frankly speaking, I don't like design of super tower seoul and shard london bridge.

Is it true Super tower rip off renzo's shard london? Give me a break.
If you see renzo's seoul "Gangwamun KTF headquter" rendering, you would admit it that renzo rip off of seoul's commie-blocks.

imo Super tower rip off rocket of NASA rather than ugly shard. And Shard rip off pyongyang's slaughter-pyramid hotel.(I know london is one of greatest city in the world... but ugly is ugly)
