He asked what it is the speed now. I really doubt it is 1 floor per 3 days. How many floors they constructed already? 7? 8? That makes at most 1 floor per week. I'm not sure when they have constructed first floor exactly.

tokyo sky tree and canton tower are both not considered buildings, but freestanding towers, so they do not count for the title of world's tallest building

Shanghai tower will be the second tallest if it is completed before this one. Don't forget the one in Mecca that already stands at 601 m. So when this one gets built it will be fourth tallest or lower.

Height is not a big deal. You get a beautiful tower, that's what matters. I think it will be one of the sexiest buildings along with Burj Khalifa, Shanghai Tower, Shard, India Tower, kingdom tower, IMO.

And yeah free standing structures like Tokyo Tower, CN Tower are not included.

from Lotte Construction,I don't know.
because of ACS(Auto Climbing System-1 floor per 3 days).
Burj Khalifa's Construction applied with ACS.although Construction speed is not fast exactly,Construction will faster than any other Supertall Building's Progress.

Current Progress : 5 floor Climbing

First 6 floors go slow. After that it all speeds up.

I don't quite get your question. Regardless of its height, this design will become Korea's national symbol. But it is freaking tall.

Not many koreans think so.
This tower was and is still considered a kind of public enemy in korea, especially on internet bulletin board.
There are so many haters out there in korea.

Are you serious? Why do they hate it? It is like the Puss in Boots which you can never hate. Lol

The Koreans don't realize that they are getting something which many countries in the world still dream about.

Of course, I am 100% serious. I am NOT one of them. Please, don't hate me. J/k
The biggest of their complaints is the location of this tower, which was in the korean air force course.
Plus, there are many haters of Lotte Group that the company build this tower.

That's why it took so long to get the approval this tower.

Anyway, many korean don't care supertalls, at least people around me.
They think supertalls are nothing special, just tall buildinngs, nothing more nothing less. Therefore, there is nothing to dream about.

While they were building them, Paris didn't like the Eiffel Tower, New York didn't like the Statue of Liberty. Things change...
