APH was designed with a storage capacity of 924,000 cubic metres and large trans-shipment facility, and is located on a 40-ha reclaimed island off the coast of Johor.

RHB Research Institute said in a February report that APH was to be completed in 2009 but was now only 60 per cent complete following delays as the soil on the island was found to be unsuitable to be built on.

Apa johor tak cukup tanah kah?The island was reclaim using the sludge they dredge! So go figure!

FYI, it is because of people like youself that makes me want to show more of the truth.
I hope this story here will make people rethink of the kinds of development taking place in Iskandar right now.
I would've read them if it wasn't for my conscience!

I really don't get you. Your conscience tells you to ignore the truth and stay ignorant?

I do agree with you. I guess you want JB City to be vibrant 1st right? With the developments such as Setia Sky 88, Twin Galaxy, V Summerplace, KSL City & others surely will be a good start to revive JB City...

But,IMO Nusajaya also have a good potential to be vibrant. The most ridiculous location of all is JPO... So far away from the city & was build in an isolated place. It is outside JB District... I still can accept if JPO's location is in Nusajaya... But in an isolated place? urrgghh... I rather shop at JB & SG...

Btw, Setia Sky 88 sold out after 5 days preview... Not even launch yet... very fast huh

Premium Outlets are always developed away from the City close to Highway interchanges. The biggest one in Woodbury Commons is more than 1 hours drive from New York! Main reason is the massive car parks these outlets need so you cannot build near the city, land is too expensive!

Haha, medini lifestyle mall is opened so many people go in now. Checked the tenants, very very disappointing, no Haagen Daaz nor Tony Roma's nor TGI Fridays, only have tutti frutti, the chicken rice shop - which occupy the largest shop there opposite legoland entrance, el migos another big shop at end or the other corner, carlo rino, polo haus like the one in jusco and other brand less shops like those cheapo Korean style shops selling bags and clothing u find on the 3rd floor of jusco... Wasting the quality of tenants...

Why can't they bring big brands like max Brennar, international successful franchise like tgif, chillis, din tai fong, new shanghai, fish n co, California pizza, dome coffee and many others. Oh yah, no Starbucks or coffee bean either and that already is a failure...

Legoland is a branded foreign theme park and it's run by a private operator. There is no way retails does not want to tap into the opportunity. Not being able to benchmark the market and pull in the matching rank of tenant line is the sole failure of developer. Ie. what is more important than this in commercial research and development. It's a disappointment starts from the building design. I somehow have this idea that the mall will turn into yet another basement bazaar of hang tuah plaza in Melaka.

Exactly!! I would have expected better than that! Even jusco F&B outlets are better than the medini mall. When I saw Blackball and The chicken rice shop which occupy the corner lot opp. Legoland entrance I was like Are you kidding me??? OMG. Just look at USS in sentosa. They have candylicious, dome, Starbucks, coffee beans these are the essential then follow by the famous like chilis, Din tai feng, tangerine and many more. I do not think johoreans cannot afford to eat at places like these just look at jusco and the others for example. We don't expect for branded like coach, Cartier for watches, the very least for the mall to be successful is to bring successful famous restaurants here, visitors and locals will come more frequently for the quality food and dine and spend more time here, they can bring families to eat here and to enjoy the view or go into legoland.

Is this part of iskandar development?
