Makpetrol and Makoil are the best domestic companies. As far as I know, there are still no standards about the distance between gas stations on motorways in Macedonia. But, I guarantee you that there are more than enough on the E-75 simply because its the road with most traffic, as part of Corridor 10.

Is there any recent data about the length of Macedonian motorways? I mean it because its very dificult to find correct data for the motorways only and not for some 2x2 roads claimed to be a motorway such as Tetovo - Gostivar. Also some part of M1 seems to be half finished so it's also not a real motorway being a 1x1 road.

I think you could classify M4 as a motorway between Tetovo and Gostivar. Yes, it lacks shoulders, but so do many motorways throughout Europe.

The M4 between Tetovo and Gostivar, could definitely be classified as a motorway. But, it really needs reconstruction badly, as it is one of the busiest sections in the whole country.

Cus no one wanted to answer me here is what I've found by myself:

M4 is 73km. long from A1 to Tetovo. The section Tetovo - Gostivar is 18km. and has an "expressway" profile lacking hard shoulders. So overall 91km. of M4.

M3 is the shortest one being only 10km. long.

M1
is the third motorway in Macedonia. First section is from Dolno Konyare to Veles 34km. Southward of Veles the motorway splits and it seems to me that only the eastern lane is especially build for motorway while the western one is simply the old road. Whatever, lets call it motorway. The length mesured by the eastern lane from Veles to Titov Veles is 23km. Then from Titov Veles to Negotino is 40km. Negotino - Demir Kapiya seems to be finished and it's some 20km. And the last section is 16km. from Smokvitsa to the Greece border. Overall M1 is 133km.

Total motorways in Macedonia 234km. (incl. 18km. expressways)

Good Hafen, Google Earth does not designate any part of so called "Istrian ipsilon" as motorway, regardless of your claim that part of it (A8) is a motorway, which all of us know it is not.
Sadly, Google Earth does not designate any of Macedonian motorways as such, neither the Skopje northern beltway, nor the Tetovo-Gostivar part. I was driving from the Skopje Airport to Ohrid through Gostivar last year, and Tetovo-Gostivar route can not be designated as motorway. It has no shoulders at all, the lanes are wery narrow (similar to the famous Soprelevata in Trieste), and the speed is limited to 80 kmh. There was even a few police patrols on it, mostly to scare people not to drive faster, but we all had a limit 100 kmh.
And last question to you, God Haven: Why Google Earth constantly designate all the corridor parts through Serbia as motorways (you can see that from the whole Europe screen, when the menu Roads is clicked on), even when we all know that parts from Novi Sad to Horgoš and from Leskovac to the Macedonian border are now only highways without hard shoulder (oops, from Novi Sad to Horgoš there ARE hard ones), and in the Surdulica canyon even without a third lane for slow vehicles? Why?

I must admit that I was very pleasantly surprised when driving from Gostivar to Ohrid: all mountainous parts of that road have a third lane for lorries and other slow vehicles, so driving there was a delight.
On return, we took a route through Pelagonija, and there was a half-expressway from Resen via Bitola to Prilep, with speed limit 100 kmh, with third lanes for slow vehicles from Resen to Bitola. From Prilep to the motorway M-1 the road had also recently finished third lane on the all hilly parts.
And one remark, please: the eastern, motorway lane from Veles to the Skopje Airport is, even only a 30 years old, in very bad condition, and I would not recommend driving faster than 90-100 kmh there.
Oops: Google Earth STILL designates in Macedonia as motorways only some parts of the former Brotherhood and Unity half-expressway: from Serbian border to Kumanovo, from Skopje Airport to somewhere northern from Veles, and from Veles to the Greek border (sic!). But no designation from the Airport to Tetovo (or if you like to Gostivar)!
