nice! the only thing i don't like are french terms - there is allready too much things because of cyrillic and latin letters, and then french (beside english, which is usual at exit signs) is weird. but nice signalization, finally good one there!

Damn, Chris, you beat me for a few hours.

I really like the new section, there are a few things I first see by Macedonian motorways. You can find here a few night shots, with Skopje in the background. Here's also a nice video with the new bypass.

French seems to be important in Macedonia.

. For instance, do you know if any greek company takes part in the construction of these new roads? (I think in one of the posted images on a foot bridge there is a sign that has the name of the greek company TERNA written on it).

Well its not ok cause all 26 km should been open till now. Anyway there are 14 to go from East to West and interchange to E-75 between Belgrade and Greece.

Nice to see it finaly completed (this section anyway)

The whole thing would have been completed a long time ago if not for our stupid laws (or lack there of) regarding compulsory purchase/expropiration, basically the only thing holding up the other section (and the reason they decided to open half a by-pass) is a dispute regarding a piece of farmland from which the owners it seems want to become millionaires

I cant believe that even at this stage they havent resolved such issues

The other section is I believe 90% complete and has been for a while....

Regarding the signs, well they are definately an improvement to what we currently have, but there seem to be several different shapes and sizes, the use of French on the signs

and this is a part of corridor 8 and they should have looked a bit further than just Tetovo, ex. Ohrid and Tirana...

Yeah the Greek company TERNA built this particular section, the 26KM by-pass was split in 2 seperate sections and the greek firm TERNA won the section towards Tetovo, although I think they subcontracted a local company to do most of the works. They were a lot luckier in that they had no major expropriation issues and actually could have finished this section ages ago but slowed things down towards the end.

No idea, they've only started using it recently and i think they should stop it, completely unnecessary IMO.

i agree, there is kinda lack of destinations, it would be better to have them more instead of french

So Greeks are present there
