The terrain is mostly flat, so there are no hard obstacles for the construction that will raise the costs.

@Skopje is not official. He posts only his views and opinions.

So, his opinions should be taken with caution because they have nothing to do with the reality. And the reality in the state is far from what has been posted here.

Specially the news that he posts here. Because the current status of these projects is very disputable.

For me there is not possible to build 2x2 and grade separated road so cheap anywhere around the World. But, the base question is if this road is going to be grade separated?

I never quote national "news" here. Because news are biased and propagated.

Because of that I insist on a personal debate. Your point is very good. If you think with your own head you will get to the point you said now.

I also don't believe because the current climate is very serious here and things are off the truck.
For example suspicious activities such as large mass corruption ongoing, for the construction of the new "highways".

Hello there, I've never claimed that I'm some kind of an official representative of whatever you think I am.

I only post news from the media. The construction of the express road Shtip-Kochani officially started, there are photos of the works on the ground. Now, there are local elections in October, so off course that we will see many starts of projects in near future, in propaganda purpose of the ex-government politicians that still refuse to accept that they lost the parliamentary elections.

Ok, the express road will feature 2x2 lanes but will the new road be grade-separated and have a median? If yes, why is it classified express road (thin line on map) instead of highway (thick line on map)?
Is there any estimated completion date?

According the media, the construction works should be finished in two years from now. There is no information about the rest of your questions, but my guess is that the road will be the same as the Veles-Kadrifakovo.

In my opinion Skopje - S.Nikola - Stip is unjustified, as it would be more intelligent to invest the money in the reconstruction of the section Veles - Katlanovo, with a small shortcut from Otovica to the road which leads to Stip.

This variant would be only 10 km longer if travelling from Skopje to Stip, but it would save a lot of money

Not exactly, on Balkans we know how to make distinction between highways (magistralni putevi), expressways (brzi putevi) and motorways (autoputevi).

You have to blame Macedonian goverment because they designated something that is clearly a highway as an expressway.

But that was practice before, during Yugoslavia, Sarajevo - Zenica highway was called, "half-motorway" (poluautoput) just because it had interchanges on some places.

Macedonians had motorways before nineties, so they are not fools and ofcourse they know the difference between the roads.

The reconstructed regional road Bitola-Resen-Bukovo in lenght of 27 km. The total costs were 5,9 million Euros. Before the opening for use the vertical signalization should be placed.

Hey, sorry, I never wrote that Macedonians are fools. I read media reports on SSC in the past about 6-laned motorways which are "normal" 2x2 motorways with 2 hard shoulders.

It was reported (by media and quoted here) that the new express road Shtip - Kochani will feature 4 lanes. I asked if it will really be 2x2 and the answer was that it's not clear but likely a 2-laned road with wide shoulders only. That's why I made a "joke" by relating to the 6-laned motorways. Sorry if you got me wrong!

Oh, I have no idea, I've never used that road in my life.

About the second question - there are plans for probably express road to the border, but first bigger priority is the express road between Veles and Prilep, and then Prilep and Bitola.
