This section is the newly laid service lane stretch. The other side is even worse where they digged up the service lane concrete to plant posts and shamiana.

After a little shower today morning, the IT Corridor has gone under water near the Sholinganallur Jn because of improper drainage system.

Toll plaza at Perugudi is not a congestion one.

Navallur toll plaza is creating a huge traffic jam in evening and morning because of corporate/school/college buses. It is high time to remove this plaza.

30min-40min is consumed by Navallur toll plaza, Sholinganallur signal and Tidel park signal during peak hours.

I don't know why trees are not planted ( planned) on both sides of the road. It is a long barren road without greenary ( except few plants on the centre median)

Perungudi toll Plaza is better compared to Navalur and shollinganallur toll plaza. Even Toll plaza at Thoraipakkam(in pallavaram to thoraipakkam road) is getting more congested lately..

I read a tweet which went somewhat like this--

Highways Dept removes the old trees on the road sides and plants small plants in the median. What a service to the Ecology of the country ?

I had the privilege of travelling from Navalur towards the city for the first time at about 6:00 in the evening on a Friday. I was surprised to see the traffic and also the strange thing that struck me was not the number of vehicles on the road but the number of people on the road. I think I can safely say that the majority of the crowd was not employeed in the IT sector.

I am still trying to figure out why some many people on the road - it almost looked like T Nagar.

I can safely say most of the people you saw on the road are building labours from Orrisa, Bihar,Bengal etc.

there are many laborers u can come across... but most people are local residents and merchants...

Good news. With Mainland China just few mtrs away, Sangeeta, Hot chips in near vicinity, OMR from Thoraipakkam till Sholinganallur is getting lot of attention from stand alone restaurents.

Also OMR has Kohinoor Asiana & ITC fortune under 4 star category and Asiana place (Ascendas), Aloft, Sabari, Ginger, Taj Gateway under mid 3 star+ category. All these hotels are equally distributed covering the entire stretch from Taramani till Siruseri.

Also, lot of car show rooms on the anvil. Honda showroom (near SRP tools), Maruti Cars India (near SRP tools), Nissan (New one next to HI style store), Toyota (New one near Kandanchavadi bus stop), Khivraj Maruti (Near Perungudi toll plaza) and Chevrolet (Upcoming, next to Perungudi Toll)

What is badly lacking is a proper mall. Marg is dragging it like anything
