Hope they had straight away gone for 5+5 lane highway considering the future traffic esp when they know that BLore had to go for 10 lane elevated expressway to elect city.

Do you have any idea, what kind of trees they are planting, it looks like palm trees as in Vegas. Is it right ?

Palm tree is a good choice, it has many advantages unlike other branched trees which are hazardous.

When they are going to remove the trees in SP Rd from Raj Bhavan to Anna Univ?

The plans look really cool. Hope these are implemented within the planned deadlines. Any idea when the grade separator at Kathipara junction would complete. I believe it has been going on for over a year now. Any update ?

Indian construction companies dont put the renderings on their site. They dont even update their website regularly.

Number of lanes required is designed by considering the parameters such as vehicle characteristics, road geometry, traffic flow theory, and traffic compositions. In future service lanes may be converted to a main line if needed or it can be made as a dedicated bus lane.

I don't think Kathipara will be completed by April. Pace has drastically reduced. Almost stopped last couple of months. I think one of the reason was the delay is acquiring land that is diagonally opp. Le Meridian. Because of this, there was less width to begin construction of elevated lanes for traffic from airport to IRR. This has been acquired a few months ago and is being demolished. Contractors believed it is better to ensure less traffic disruption than speeden up the works. Construction should pick up pace after monsoon.

The renderings of course looks world-class, a significant reason being the greenery, water bodies etc that are portrayed around the roads which gives that stunning feel. Any normal painting with a vivid background looks so good. The question here is do these places really have that kind of greenery around & cool buildings around? If yeah, then no doubt it is a stunner, but even otherwise, roads & the plans look good.
