hearing lang ito ha.... the bridge will pass by the properties of a prominent davao family (you know who), the properties of two famous davao-based millionaires and tarannggggg... a davao based politician who operates the alskföasl plying the davao-samal route.... (ohne gewähr!!!) ... now let your imagination work (and think of a reason) why that bridge couldn't be built ....

Ay Ty bago man pala ito
Sila Gotianun sa Filinvest may ginagawa kasing malaking project malapit sa Casino. Tinutulungan ko sila sa ibang boats, HUGE HUGE investment. Resort and nagabenta rin silang lots and condos yata. Anyway they'll put up a sailing club that will be operational within a few months and IT WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR FREE IN THE MEANTIME (siyempre magapose ka lang na buyer ha ). Looks like a good project kaya akalo this was it. Good to see something else happening in Samal.Dili sa amin parentes iyan, sana lang nga! Quote:

FLI sets aside P16B for 3-year expansion plan Inquirer Last updated 08:47pm (Mla time) 05/27/2007 PROPERTY firm Filinvest Land Inc. is setting aside P16 billion for its expansion in the next three years, which will involve mainly housing projects, said FLI first vice president Fely Ramos. The boom in the property sector has been fueled by record low interest rates, an increase in remittances from overseas Filipino workers and strong demand for office spaces, especially from business process outsourcing firms. FLI said its three-year expansion plan would be financed with cash generated from operations, borrowings and the P5.9 billion in proceeds from the company's additional shares offering. Under the plan, FLI will set aside P5 billion for 2007, P5.3 billion for 2008 and P6.1 billion for 2009. The company will focus on low- and middle-income housing projects, high-end, leisure and farm estates, a condominium hotel in Cebu, the Northgate Cyberzone, and medium-rise buildings. In 2007 alone, FLI has listed 14 projects for launching. These include condotels, medium-rise buildings and residential resort communities. The company is also expanding to areas outside Greater Metro Manila, particularly in high growth regional centers. There is an ongoing expansion in North Luzon with the development of Somerset Lane in Tarlac and Hampton Orchards and Claremont Village in Pampanga. Kembali Coast in Samal Island, Davao, is a beachfront residential resort development. This 50-hectare Asian-Balinese inspired island getaway offers exclusivity within a 1.8-kilometer beachfront that offers unobstructed view of the sea. Other regional projects are Escala in Cebu and West Palms in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Elizabeth Sanchez-Lacson |

FDC eyes elbowroom for fundraising plan By: Likha C. Cuevas | Manila Times 7 June 2007 | 10:12 AM Filinvest Development Corp. (FDC), the holding company of the Gotianun family’s business interests, said it would reclassify some of its preferred shares into common shares, allowing the company more leeway when it has to raise more funds. A preferred shareholder takes precedence over common shareholders when it comes to dividend payments, but usually has no voting rights on company matters. In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the company said it would reclassify 2 million preferred shares into 2 billion common shares to “afford FDC more flexibility” in raising capital if it decides to sell shares. As of May 18 when the company board approved the reclassification, none of the preferred shares with par value P1.00 per share had been bought therefore “no holder of preferred shares will be affected by the reclassification,” FDC said. For the first quarter this year, FDC’s subsidiary, Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) reported a 46-percent jump in profits to P252.26 million on the back of higher real-estate sales, rental income and equity net earnings which rose by 140 percent. Last February, FLI raised P5.9 billion from its follow on offering to fund its development projects as the property developer earmarked P5 billion for capital expenditure, P3 billion of which would go to its residential developments and P1.3 billion to office developments. FLI has 14 new projects in the pipeline, which include Grand Cenia, an 18-story condotel with commercial and office components located in Cebu’s central business district. FLI is also developing One Oasis, a complex of nine 5-story residential medium rise buildings in Pasig City, Somerset Lane in Tarlac, and Hampton Orchards and Clare*mont Village in Pampanga. Kembali Coast in Samal Island, Davao, is the company’s beachfront residential resort development, which starts this year. http://www.yehey.com/finance/level3.aspx?id=166135
