i absolutely agree. actually, not good coffee, but extraordinary coffee. those commercial brands like Illy, Lavazza, Julius Meinl etc. are really good brands. if you want something extraordinary, than you take something else

(btw i will admit that in the time wen I was in Napoli i was drinking macchiato, so maybe i am too subjective about Trieste )

Illy, I've heard of. Didn't know it was from Trieste.
For years, I would only buy Lavazza for use at home, but it's too hard to find here. (And Illy, Melitta, etc., are much more expensive. At the moment, I have a store brand that I think is really Gevalia. Gevalia doesn't come from anywhere near Trieste or Naples. :-) )

Point taken.

Let me show you something. I'm writing right now with a personalized laptop. Here's a picture:

ok, if Austrians can make good coffee brand, why wouldn't Scandinavians have it, too?
(maybe I am too optimistic, ain't I? )

City-center. You can find it all across Europe.

Another thing I don't like by Austrian signs is a too big emphasis on Vienna (Wien). Example below: perhaps Vienna is important, if you're coming from Italy, but certainly not, if you're coming from A11.

The Austrian Autobahn turns 71 today

On September 13, 1941, the first section of A1/A10 around Salzburg opened to traffic.

Austria was the 5th country in Europe with a motorway, being earlier than the first French motorway by a month.

I always thought Linz had a important role as a port in Austria. It's the best they can do, since Austria is landlocked.

Is the Danube navigable to Vienna?

Vienna Harbor is 3 times the size of Linz.

Yes, that's why Austria had a small navy (12 patrol boats) during the cold war.

That's just a technicality. Austria was the country occupied the longest time by the Allies (until 1955)... and it didn't change after that year.

That is bad. Really, if you're coming for the first time, this is confusing to say at least.

I don't get why this is confusing? First exit to A2-Italy, second exit to A11-Slovenia. Of course, Tauernautobahn misplaced his distance labels when drawing up the sign, which is not the case in the real world.
