i agree with keber. idea is not that bad, but these direction signs don't indicate Slovenia and Italy. they indicate over everything A2, A11. E61, E55 and some LO and I things after all those numbers. when you compare it to left side and Wien/Klagenfurt, the last thing that you see on that board is Slovenia and Italy.

no. S4 and parts of S31 for instance even don't have middle barrier. large part of S3 is 2+1.

about A9 - 3+3 is only that part that you see on the photos so between Knoten Deutschfeistritz (A9-S35) and Gratkorn south, and one more small part between Graz Webling (southern portal of Plabutsch tunnel) and Knoten Graz south (A9-A2)

i'm not sure but i think so. the only "schnellstraßen" i can bear in mind are S6, S35 and S36 and they all have them.

from Graz-Nord to junction Peggau - Deutschfeistritz, about 10km. from Graz-Webling to junction Graz-West, about 5km. a few kilometers each side of the gleinalmtunnel. and i guess near Wels there should be 3 tracks too

What is the road category of S6 and S35? Motorway or expressway? For example the S4 is at first a motorway, then becomes expressway...

There indeed is one section which is only 1+1, it's not only about google maps

No.
S roads in Austra vary heavily. There are full profile motorays (e.g. S6), 2+2 expressways with or without shoulders (e.g. S31), but you may find 1+1 roads, too, having an S marking (e.g. S5 between Knoten Jettsdorf and Krems).
However, a very large part, the majority of S network is 2+2 with shoulders (either expressway or motorway).
