[QUOTE=mediar;75822581]Part 9:

Well done! Really nice "Austrian chapter" of the story. What could be quite funny? There are only artificial tunnels between Bruck and der Leitha and Nickelsdorf (Hungarian boarder) - so called Gruenbruecken - and the tunnels in Vienna (bypass-motorway S1, plus one tunnel in Salzburg) . And you were driving through the country of Alps. And anyway....Varna is the city on the seashore of the Black Sea. And you did not leave (maybe a bit in Bulgaria) the its sea-drainage-area (due to the flow of Danube and in spite of the fact that the Adriatic Sea was not far off).....It is also remarkable.

It's named TERN. The same font is used for the sign for Enns-West Steyr, the secont photo at part 5.

It's not the worst, but it would be better without Knoten Schwechat (irrelevant at this point) and the country ovals. However, a larger number of destinations will remain, this is arguably the most important interchange in Austria. A big pro is that they use the actual names of the foreign cities and not confusing translations.

1st ovals
2nd Bratislava and Prague in the same row and than Budapest below somewhere in the middle
3rd too many destinations (also compare fonts and how big are letters on that table Graz, Eisenstadt and Wr. Neudorf)
4th it is than confusing is Wien only on the left side or you can go straight as well. They should have divided those tables.
5th A2 sign above Mödling?! was it also necessary
and last and, but not least Schwechat knot, was it really necessary?

Country ovals are very good, especially for those ones that are not road map geeks (like I am ). You know you have to go to Hungary, so you keep the H oval sign. Simple!

What if you have to go to Sopron from there? If you follow (H) you will end up in the wrong region. Oval codes are too ambiguous.

Most of the people that want to go to Hungary from that point would go on A4/M1, so this sign is for the majority. If someone wants to go to Sopron should use a GPS or take a look on a map before the trip.

so it is wrong if it is not for all but for majority. Thy shouldn`t use it there.

Yeah,they wrote Ljubljana cause Villach isnt so big but it would be strange to write Maribor cause Graz is on the way.Imo Wien is not realy necessary,you have Linz thats enough.I think when you come from Germany,from Passau they sign only Ling not Wien.What i notice is that on this one stands Ljubljana not Laibach but on the signs in Graz which is very much closer to Slovenija stands Marburg
