BTW we can debate it when looking at the photo from our homes, but just imagine when doing 130 on the motorway.... you got my point.
If you don't know where to go, driving 130 is pretty insane. Off course that sign before Vösendorf knotten is unreadable then. (And there is limit 80 or 100kmph so you're driving over the limit there)

I was driving several times by that sign (and not only that) and it is pretty readable to me when I know what Autobahn I must use or when I not. Austrian are pretty meticulous regarding signing everything, not just on Autobahns. And all those signs is because many trucks pass Austria and it is still part of Gästarbeiter route.

Maybe Scwechat should be missing from that sign now (http://media.snimka.bg/8364/022982824-big.jpg) but Schwechat will be (if there is no more NIMBYs and GREENs which is obstruct project) majon interchange when S1 continue north under/over Danube

If you ask me too meticulous and too detailed.
Someone once made Austrian signs with German design and everything was readable.

Thanks! Yep, that's right. It's southbound and if you stay on B99 you can also avoid Katschberg Tunnel by going over Katschberg Pass. (on a beautiful day it's worth it even if there's no traffic at the tunnels)

L267 in Nockberge National Park is a scenic and little known alternative to Katschberg Tunnel (A10) and Katschberg Pass (B99).
So if you're not in a hurry and want to enjoy the scenery, this is the way to go.

Never seen this before: a city limit sign with a green border. Anyone know what that means? Any special significance or do the same rules apply as with the usual blue border?

Tauernpass is 1738m, Katschbergpass 1641m

(The highest point on L267 is 1730m, btw. Even though it's not really a mountain pass and there are never any steep grades)

If you collect passes you can count 2 if you drive the Tauernpass cause after that one on the same road lies the Twenger Talpass

This is second part of Maribor - Seiersberg (Graz) short report. The first part can be found in Slovenian motorways thread.

Nice pictures, I call this section grater because of pretty bumpy concrete.

Next week I'll try to put photos of A2 from Graz to Wien.
