I didn't know that I've passed over such a beautiful viaduct. Thank you for the picture

The landscape on these raods is amazing, esepcially pic 32 with the close trees and rocks looking through the trees is amazing. But Austria is known for amazing scenery. In bulgaria there are similar landscapes at the foot and in the valleys of the Rila mountain.

Now, I want to show you some pics from the Postalmstrasse, a touristic toll road, passing through nice pastures high in the mountains (http://www.postalm.at/) and further on to Bad Ischl.

This is the route:

Time to put some more pictures of motorways in Carinthia. Now I will share pictures from A10 near Villach, A2 to Klagenfurt and S37 expressway (map).

On A10 near Villach, approaching the interchange with A2/A11:

Merging with A2:

Beautiful autobahn with 3 lanes:

Just 2 lanes from now on

Weird interchange. A2 to Wien goes to the right:

There are several tunnels on Klagenfurt bypass:

S37 interchange after the tunnel:

Leaving A2 for S37:

S37 to St. Veit:

What does that U before Wien and Graz mean?

S37 expressway. Just 1+1 at the beginning:

2+2 from now on:

Leaving S37 and going to Hochosterwitz Castle:

Who cares that road L83 is not in such a good shape when you see this?

Later today I will publish pictures from Hochosterwitz Castle on my travel thread (see my signature).

Guess that U stands for Umleitung. German for detour.
