Plus, they complained about the skyline saying that there are skyscrapers rising uglier than the one before!!!!

If I had known, I would have voted for him myself, but I never went back to the Urban Photo Contest after I stopped participating. I just took a look to see if he is there this week, but I didn't see him.

As for the line in the movie Marley and Me about Miami's "skyscrapers rising uglier than the one before," as I've said enough times before, I've studied skyscraper architecture as a hobby for over 30 years, and there is a lot I could say about a lot of ugly architecture in a lot of other cities, but I chose not to. It just is what it is.

Haha, I know. exactly why I hope your joking. In Spanish you don't translate the name of places so literally. It's not called Ladrilloell or lavarington (washington) or altohassee (tallahassee)

Not that hard.

BTW, I was in Key Biscayne today and saw some amazing views but my camera seemed to be nowhere near me at the time, just my luck!

I agree,
In my opinion the best views are from Virginia Key/ Key Byscayne because you get to see more buildings and everything looks more compacted.

Were they of the Miami skyline? If you can pinpoint where you were for me, I will go there tomorrow to see if I can capture them.

It would be cool if we all GPS systems and could give precise coordinates on where photos taken.

First were from the lighthouse that we've all seen, but the one I really wanted to take a picture of was from my friends new apartment on some high rise somewhere in Key Biscayne, no idea how to get there, but I'll probaly be back there soon.

I've been wondering how to get into one of those high-rises on Key Biscayne to get a picture. I knew there was a great shot from one of them. The one I took from the lighthouse is one of my favorites, especially after I made it larger by cropping it. I've been trying to get Rober2010 to go there with his telephoto lens to take the shot I don't have the camera to take yet. It is truly the kind of shot for a telephoto lens and would make a great one.

OMG! A beautiful Chicago banner is up now!

Noland, Matheson Hammock is a county park on Biscayne Bay near Kendall. Rober2010 has shot kiteboarders from there with a telephoto lens. I would love to see him do that same shot you referenced above with a telephoto lens as well as the skyline from the Cape Florida lighthouse at the southern tip of Key Biscayne. This was the best I could do from the lighthouse with my limited equipment and abilities. I would love to see what Roberto could do from this perspective with his telephoto lens. I would buy him a ticket to a Dolphins game just to get a shot of the skyline from there with his telephoto lens.

Party's rule!! hehe. To post the pictures on here you have to first put them on web hosting site such as Photobucket or Flikr. To do that you have to register a Username (ID) and then you have your own account. It's free. I use Flikr myself and find it to be the best one, but they pretty much all the same.

Once you uploaded the photos to there then you copy the url and paste it in the insert image box on here. To get the url of the photo you go to the all sizes tab at the top of the photo. Once you select which size you want the photo, the url will be at the bottom of that page. Hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions.
