It actually compliments the WTC site in my opinion, it kinda gives me the impression of the gradual slope of the buildings starting from 1WTC all the way to this one.

Agree. The new design looks even better than the old.

I don't disliked the old renders, but the new ones are also great. A bit less darker. The height is great too of course.

I think that this is another possible site for Wanda's proposed project.

Here's a link to New York YIMBY's last report on 50 West St.: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...48705608,d.aWc

At this stage, it seems financing is all that this tower needs to get moving.

Yes. I'm surprised how long it's taking to finance this.

I'm excited for the latest renderings for this project. Will be a great addition in lower manhattan. Hope financing will get secured soon.

Just saw this the other day. Awesome location and awesome design! Could this be a 6WTC contender?

Given all the luxury development going on (and demand), its surprising that this one can't find funding. I wonder if something is going on with the developers...

Many traditional banks are not willing to lend to these risky, speculative real estate projects. They know this is an unsustainable bubble driven by investors and "hot money."

Banks are lending but the neighborhood is less than ideal for high end condos. Memories of the William Beaver House still linger. If this was a Gene Kaufman rental tower, the banks would come running with cash.

This site could easily sell the units at $2k/sf.

The banks may be wary due to susceptibility to hurricanes.

Sweet. This will compliment the WTC complex well. I like the revised renderings much better too.
