This opportunity for Ruan is no co-incidence.It was meant to be.
Lets all thank the big guy upstairs! Or whoever injured Ricky!

What a game! esp for the 1st game of the Tri Nations, heart stopping stuff! We were the better side through out, just couldnt break through thier last line of defence.
As for Mr Steyn, I told you guys from last years currie cup, that this oke is going to be BIG in SA rugby! brilliant 2 drop goals, the 1st one was blody brilliant!

for gods sake drop Butch James: he has no imagination and no ideas !! Frans Steyn at fly half would be explosive and at least give us options, Butch plays like a loose forward!

HEY Butch played his socks off, as Campo said after the game, Butch did his best to make the plays, after the Aussies closed him down it was up to the others to pick thier hands up & show them selves, make runs, etc. Pieterson & esp Willimse are to blame.

I starting to think Steyn is God (in rugby i.e. Everyone knows Steven Gerrard is God), I mean how many guys can land a drop goal from the ride hand side touch line with such prefection? & its not the first time his done that, he can do it from the right, left center & in our own half.

Ok, we'll see who is chirping after this weekend. My Yellow-jellies are still without a win in SA, But the ABs will get one over you guys

And f**k, still cant believe that Steyn kick from the sideline 45m out! Why, why we always lose to drop goals! 03 WC now our tri-nations chances are looking grimmer than before!

The scene was set for a classic encounter, 53 000 full capacity. We played well in the 1st 30min, then lost the plot like the Aus game, but the try was an added boost before half time. Butchy alertness to get that break away try was flippin brilliant! One has to feel by him going off we lost the plot. I deff agree with Campo, you cant throw a kid like steyn in at flyhalf in such a game.

As I said in the NZ thread, some on his day, Steyn can be your greatest hero or your worst enemy, Super 14 Final 2007.
Now mike2005, Is Butch James still kak???

Damn! That was close but disappointing. But rather a loss to the Blacks than the Wallabies!
