This project has been started. I'm not sure, but I think it has been reduced to 180m+. At first it was supposed to be 240m tall, 66 floors.

spire looks a lot longer than 20 meters, looks more like 100.

Anyway, Suzhou should be a traditional Chinese water town in my mind. It's really difference.

The old city is 100% preserved. The skyscraper projects you see in this thread are built in a new developement zone some distance east of the old city, across the Jinji Lake
