I dont think imaginative, creative and capable people will think on cheese when seeing this building built.

Do you really find awful and graceless the towers, all of them? weird... they are all so different among them...

About the International Convention Centre...
I really like this building, hope it looks like it appears in the renders.

This is a Swiss cheese. This project should be implemented in Switzerland.

Well not much has happen here. They finally finish the hole and the bid for the next phase of the project, can't remember which construction company won but they will build the 1,910 parking spaces and the auditoriums that are located underground and will continue construction up to ground level. Then the project will stop. At that point and depending on how much the deficit has lowered they will decide how much they will spend in the next phase. This building is going to take a while...

(buses in the road give a good perspective, this hole is huge!!)

Madrid's new landmark

This is the kind of building that people either love it or hate it, just as the Tour Eiffel at its time or London´s fuse-like tower in recent years. Will this building become madrid's typical postcard icon? may be ... I like it. I lived in Madrid for three years, and in my view the architects have taken into account something very important: the building will reflect the changing colours of Madrid's pristine sky (cielos velazquenos, Spaniards use to call them, because they were wonderfully painted by Velazquez). Madrid is the highest of European capitals and its sky has a unique and rich array of colours among European capitals. From time to time I went to the Patio de Armas of the Palacio the Oriente at dusk just to contemplate them ...

As for me, thumbs up for this avant-gardiste project¡¡¡ congratulations madrilenos¡

This building has all the hallmarks to become a landmark. It is strange, original and can easily be drawn in the quick sketch test that seems to be a rule of thumb to a great landmark

I like it.

Mansilla + Tunon Architects.

It slightly improves the poor "skyline" but what's the sense of putting a monstrous stand-alone building next to those four lonely skyscrapers in an area that lacks urbanity?
The facade looks great though.
