Hi,
I have heard rumours that MINC has started the project, anyone seen it in dubai? They refused to give me my money back wut can be done?

I am trying to get hold of Minc to find out what the situation is bit still no answer from them. They also don't have the money to give a refund!

My understanding is that construction has re-commenced but how is that possible if they dont have any funds?

yeah even if construction has restarted, what is the gurantee they will finish the project in 2010 mid like they promise? they may linger it on.....
i started paying for this project in 2006 when it was launched, and my money has been with them (40% of property price) since then..... does anyone know what are the rules and regulations if i would like to pull out of this project now? will the escrow account money be given back to me ? or they will deduct 30% of the total price of property?? even though it is over 2 years that my money has been with them!!!??????

I think you lose 30% and the process is started by informing Minc in writing. However, in Minc's own words a refund is not possible at present due to lack of funds.

It is confirmed that Prodigy 1, Prodigy 4 and Prodigy 5 are now under construction. So I think this thread should go back to being Under Construction

Can we get the mods to change it's status

How many people have had emails form Minc requesting 1500aed for registration of apartments...anyone paid yet?

Hi,

I received the same request. They actually had requested my passport details some time back - stating that they were 'registering the unit'.

I called them last week to ask why they were asking for money this time round for something they had told me was already done. They replied that the 'Dubai rules' had changed and more admin work was required. They wanted the admin fee to cover their time costs. I am really fed up with the whole thing I note some people have indicated that construction has commenced. But Minc had told me 12 months ago 'that contsruction was well underway' - London Office. How are we meant to trust these guys??

Out of interest has anyone consulted a Solicitor with regards to the delay issue or whether it is possible to legally obtain a refund. I am UK based and not clear to how the Property Courts in Dubai operate. I am reluctant to give more monies without firm assurances of progress.

I went to visit this construction site without prior notice about a month ago, saw the site, i was escorted by the subcontractors engineer, there was excavation work going on for prodigy 1, i have also recieved emails in feb and march from MINC with pictures and update, it seems like the work has started and the project is on again. According to the subcontractors the project should be ready by end of 2010. But if someone can visit the site again we can get the update. About RERA not stating that the project has started i am not sure, has someone gotten intouch with them to verify this?

That sounds good news for Prodigy 1 investors. i emailed them regarding prodigy 5 and haven't heard from them. Who is the best person to contact in Minc. Can someone confirm for other prodigy buildings as well please and confirm if they have started the construction or not.

Latest update is that construction is progressing, this does not belong in "Never Built".

hi, i went to dubai to check prodigy4 project progress and it seems they just started clearing the site,i spoke to a lady from minc called cindy and she said the project will be finished by the end of 2010.if you have any latest news let me know please.
