Prodigy 1

Hi All,
I have been recieving calls and also emails from MINC for paying the admin fee for the title registration, but i am not really comfortable with paying them anything more, and definitely not the admin fee! Does anyone know what is the progress of Prodigy 1, when is the expected completion date and also the payment plan dates, as i have not been sent those updates yet.
How many investors do we have on this forum for Prodigy 1? do we all agree on not paying the admin fee???

I am also getting calls for admin fee. I visited UAE last month and the ground work is progressing. They say it is on track for Oct 2010. I am not comfortable paying more but probably we have to end up paying it as they say only developer can do the registration.

In my opinion the admin fee can be paid at anytime to register the unit, I dont see why Minc are trying to rush the registration process.

A lady who called from MiNC told me that only developer can use Qdoos software and register and if admin fee is not sent they will not be responsible for registring. I don't believe them however I don't know what will be the result if I don't pay.

admin fees of 1500AED

I have had emails back and forth regarding the admin fees. They confirmed this was not a legal fee but admin costs they incurred in their training to use the system etc. This is rubbish because they cant ask this from all 500 or so property owners from all flats in prodigy 1-6 as the amount is large if you add it!

I see this fees as an overhead to the company not on my property as the company has to do this if they want to stay in this line of business in the future.... so why should I pay for this? Next they will be asking us to pay for an upgrade to their email system, or training/expenses to do something else. When will this stop!

I am a contractor myself and I never ask my customers to pay to train me!

These guys do not seem to be trustworthy & their approach is unprofessional. I received an email requesting admin fee & 2% for the land fee. Then a few weeks later (on a different letterhead) they change their story & only ask for the admin fee!! I have emailed them on both occasions without a response from them. There were also supposed to be some forms attached but of course there was not.

I am also not comfortable paying anything more to them until they can at least prove that the project is progressing & stop changing their story & be truthful.

These people have messed us around enough & they need to show a sign of good faith by at least registering the units which will give us some reassurance!

Probably like everyone else I have no idea if you can register yourself.

As far as I'm aware only a few investors have paid the registration fee and I've not had the call from Minc about penalties. Im sure registration can be delayed until completion.

according to the land department all units have to be registered and any such units will not be considered as proper sales, and the developer can cancel the sale too!! reatining 30% of the amount paid!!!

still have not paid anything. I did receive the phone call and emails etc but still don't believe it is something they should charge us for.

Anyone know if there has been any progress on Prodigy3?

I still haven't signed the new contract papers and revised payment schedule they sent 6 months ago! Should I? I do plan to pay them if there is any progress but why include a new schedule of payments tied to dates when they have no clue themselves....not happy to sign that.

What do people think of the Project service charges on top of Nakheels service charges. Also did you know that you cannot form your own association until after 4 yrs so you will have to allow Minc to run the building and charge you Project service charge
