The word huge in the tread title is definitely the right word.
For a project of this size I'd say they are making pretty good progress.

Will there be grocery stores and shops in this development? I don't see anything like that in the renders or project description. Will there be a future metro line or something through this area because given the amount of units in this project the people will need good transportation to the city from here. It would be impractical to expect them to all have cars. From this area it could continue on to the airport.

There will be both local and mall-type shopping and social facilities.

There is no metro line planned for that area yet.

it must be. It is on the road of Airport. Ankara's new, modern airport has not any rail connection yet.

Considering the 3 already u/c lines in the city, our only wish is being able to use them. Nothing else.

For now, buses to the airport is OK. Because there is no traffic rush in that way. When those are completed of course there will be a need. But it is early for thinking about it, again considering the 3 already u/c lines which need lots of money to be completed.

Actually most of the ugly buildings have been demolished..After the city planning I think it will look very good...Toki builds same type of buildings..I may have seen almost 20 buildings built like this...

there is an amazing change on airport road. Most of the locations on the airport road have been really changed..especially the Pursaklar district looks better..There are newly built apartments....The airport road looks better..however, they need to do something in Çubuk district..

Yeah, they will be commies at the end but at least very well planned commies.. Those are for the owners of old houses.. I guess the ones to be sold will be even better.

commies outside of the city is a good solution no matter how they are. I love commies instead of slums.

What about funny, kitch apartments on the airport road?

I have seen some of it as I was driving to the airport to fly back from my summer vacation. I can say that the outcome is only OK. The fact that all the buildings had to be cladded made it look really weird. There's no difference between the buildings. The buildings look very monotonous with the same exterior one after the other. On one hand it's good becuase it covered the buildings with kilim shaped tiles very weird arabesque figures, on the other hand now it looks like all the buildings are the same. I should mention that they only cladded the front side so you can still see the sides of these buildings which make the project useless and make it seem even lower in quality...

Looks like the project has received a good kick start and well on its way.. may God speed. I personally wouldnt mind living in these single story dwellings although the area is self is a little out of reach from cbd (central business district) which can make it a little isolated from inner Ankara
