How many tunnels are U/C now? I have a feeling that Prague is building like 10 tunnels at once

^ on outer ring there are two u/c - Lahovice tunnel (1660m) and Komořany tunnel (1940m). On inner ring there is one u/c - tunel Blanka (3440m). Some others are planned so in a few years we can have more tunnels u/c at once.

![]() ![]() ![]() Actually Blanka tunnel is ca 5,5 km long (northern tube 5502 m, southern tube 5489 m; source). Similarly Mrázovka tunnel is ca 1,26 km long (access/exit tunnel ramps on mid-tunnel junction not included) and not 1004 m as stated in several posts here on SSC made by some careless posters who don't verify or read their sources properly (the 1004 m figure is in fact the length of the bored part of the western tube of Mrázovka tunnel). ![]() Except for the length of Blanka tunnels, kokpit's answer is right, there are "only" 3 long highway tunnels (+1 short) u/c in Prague now. Their combined length is over 9 km. Beside these, two 2-track railway tunnels, ca 1,2 km each, are u/c too and a 4,6 km long underground extension of metro C. |

It is expected to be opened in May 2010, but it must be opened together with part 512, which is still not U/C. But we still hope for 2010

BTW I suggest to close both Prague rings threads and continue in Czech motorways, because the number of posts is... low.

I dont agree. Its nice to seperate them.
The problem with all of our threads is that there is lack of posts since other then Kokpit most no one else posts anything. For example for Prague, with the same reasoning, we should only keep Prague Projects thread instead of the others specific Project threads since there is very few posts and not much photo updates. |

Czech motorways = all roads, highways, expressways... Outer Ring is also an expressway, it's a part of the whole network. They're related closely. |

^ I agree with Herzarsen, I would keep it as it is now, we don't need vast threads containg wide-ranging projects with lots of pages, specialized threads are better for me.
