Another 2 years? Probably reason for 2015 opening is new Piave river bridge because roadworks could be completed in one year max, maybe even this year because they seem to be quite in advanced state.
I must say new Piave bridge looks pretty impressive and it is about 10 m higher than current one.

Another tricky point in the bridge over Tagliamento, that is more than 1km long and has no hard shoulders.

Villesse - Gorizia won't be upgraded to 3x2, the old expressway is being widened into a 2x2 motorway.

It will probably be constructed in the same manner as bridge over Piave - actually there will be two bridges.

Reading this:
http://ilpiccolo.gelocal.it/cronaca/...anni-1.7017747
if my Italian is not too rusty it says that
- Villese-Gorizia should be finished in Q3 2013
- section Quarto d’Altino-San Donā should be finished in the beginnign of 2014 (it looks like so on the field)
- new exit Meolo in 1H of 2013
- section San Donā-new Alvisopoli exit (after Portogruaro) in the beginning of 2015 (but no work is being done currently)

It actually talks about the program written in 2012 but then it says that it would be impossible to do:
Quote:
Quote:
This is unfeasible. The commissioner grants improved schedule, but it still means 4-5 years of works. Long story short, if they begin now, works would be ongoing until 2018 or more. And they are not going to start now, actually. Apart from Meolo junction and Villesse-Gorizia, works are way behind schedule.

A14 is a completely different story. Works there are constant and fast. Until now, 3rd lane has been completed from Rimini Nord to Pesaro, from Fano to Senigallia and from Ancona Sud to Porto Sant'Elpidio. Pesaro-Fano and Senigallia-Ancona Nord stretches shoud be completed by this summer. Ancona Nord-Ancona Sud is expected to be completed by 2015.

BreBeMi, future A35 autostrada between Brescia and Milan, gets a new official nickname. Many Italian autostrade have nicknames (A1 "del Sole", A4 "Serenissima", A14 "Adriatica"): A35 will be known as "Argentea" (Silver), after an ancient Roman road from Milan to Aquileia, where important silver mines were located.

nice! what is the southernmost point of planned reconstruction? still Pedaso or they have changed it?
how about AN nord - AN sud? is it postponed due to the tunnels or what?

also, are there some plans for widening A13 maybe?

Pedaso was scrapped out of the project when two former mayors said they weren't interested. Now there are two new mayors, who tried to get the Pedaso section back into projects but too late. The project would have to be re-done but now Autostrade per l'Italia is not interested. Terminus now is Porto Sant'Elpidio.

Partly because of that, partly because they began construction later than the other sections, and partly because they should build an intermediate junction (Ancona Ovest) but nobody knows where - there is not a project yet about the junction and the new road leading to Ancona and its harbor.

There is, Bologna Arcoveggio-Ferrara sud only. This is somewhat more complicated, it involves also the project of the future Autostrada Cispadana (A22 Reggiolo - A13 Ferrara). Works will probably start, for Cispadana, in Q1 2014 (but don't take this for granted, works were alredy supposed to start in 2013).

Last week I went to Udine, and I've made some photos of raccordo in both directions
The strech is more or less finished... Embankment at Farra overpass is completed, the other embankment at Gradisca is completed too. But still, I don't know what on earth would they do with bridge over Soča river!? If they will demolish the old bridge, there is no time to rebuilt new one in Q3 2013.

Because of the roadworks in the strech between Gorizia and Farra, there is a detour via Farra. So we are on raccordo...

Only some vertical signalization and that's it

Here is the embankment at Farra overpass. According to level of asphalt on left side, major works are concluded.

Between overpass and exit of Gradisca autostrada is finished, and trucks everywhere...

Vertical signalization is here to, we take this exit to Udine

Totaly new Gradisca exit.

And this is new connection road from A34 to SR305 (Gradisca-Udine).

Strech ends in roundabout on SR305 close to Mariano di Friuli, this town has also new bypass road.

Tommorow I will upload photos from way back, now I don't have enough time

the only place where I see possible new exit is Ghettarello. from there seems to be the easiest way to make connection to the overpass over railroad at the exit from the port.

if they would try to link overpass over cargo rail terminal with Asse Nord-Sud, they whould demolish half of the city, so that's obviously not an option

and one more thing - they will have to do something with exits' names. now already you must have quite an imagination to believe that Ancona nord is really exit to northern part of the city and the same thing happens just accros the Adriatic - Zadar has exits Zadar west (which guides you actually to northeastern part of the city) and Zadar centre (which guides you to southern part of the city)

This *should* be the project:

We Italians often think of Italy as if it were aligned North-South, instead of Northwest-Southeast. Tilt Italy some 30 degrees clockwise, and you get Ancona Nord

AFAIK Cerignola West exit leads to the southern part of Cerignola, and Cerignola East leads to the northern part .

That is just to (over)compensate for the Earth rotation tilt

actually, I am wondering now about one thing that I haven't realized sooner: when they put on the sign, let's say, Ancona nord: is that nord thing refered to position of exit from the motorway, or is it refered to the part of the city where you should come using that exit?

It relates to the position of the exit on the highway.

Ex: Firenze Nord and Firenze Sud on A1.
