- A12 between Cecina and Civitavecchia.
Already in construction, albeit slowly. For the time being works (that I know of) are only ongoing in the southern part, between Civitavecchia and Tarquinia.

- A24 and A25 in the Adriatic Coast.
There is a 2x2 free expressway linkng (almost) directly a24 and a14. A25 is complete.

- A motorway between Firenze and Adriatic Coast.
There are a number of expressways in construction filling the void. Quadrilatero project in central Italy is building expressways from the Adriatic coast to Umbria, were there are already expressways linking to A1 and Rome. There is SS3bis from Ravenna to Perugia, which in the long run should be upgraded to autostrada.

Is previsted to build in the next years new motorways (not extend the actual motorways) in Italy?
New motorways in construction are A35 between Brescia and Milan, Pedemontana Lombarda linking A8, A9 and A4 north of Milan, Pedemontana Veneta which is something in between an expressway and a motorway, TEEM (Tangenziale Est Esterna Milano). A33, A31, A12, A18, A21 racc are being prolonged or completed. Some other project under consideration are A14-A1 link in Molise, Rome-Latina motorway, Cremona-Mantua, Broni-Mortara, Tibre(linking A15 and A22), Cispadana (linking Ferrara and the A22 near Reggiolo) and a whole new motorway around Genoa.

There is construction ongoing also on the extension of A18 to Ragusa (and then to Gela)

I think a link between Taranto and A 3 would be very usefull! Concerning the Link between Firenze - Adriatic Coast, there is a Superstrada, called "due mari Grosseto - Fano, under Construction.
Beside of this i'm still for the Prolongment of Allemagna to A22 in South Tyrol oder Trentino!

Passanti di Genova, the planned Bypass of Genova would be usefull, but is, caused by the costs, not realistic.

TiBre is a Project, which should be realized very soon in my eyes, because it is a very important stretch!

Most of SS106 is already an 2+2 expressway there...

There are also the rather good SS107 that connects SS106 with Potenza and A3...

I find the speed limit on Rimini bypass too low (90 km/h on a new 3-lane autostrada):

Taking the exit at Rimini-sud to Republica di San Marino:

After the toll station you have to choose if you want to go to Rimini or to San Marino. Unfortunately the signs are too small:

Horizontal traffic lights + people that want to wash your windscreen while waiting at the traffic light:

Crossing the border into Republic of San Marino:

Romanian-registered car in front of me (BT = Botosani, maybe the Romanian most-distant county from Italy):

These are still construction-mode signs. Sooner or later (probabily later) they're gonna remove them. Nobody follows them anyway.

^I bet you didn't go 90 kmh on this section of A4 (as nobody does) (except me ), did you?

https://www.google.si/maps?saddr=A4&...sz=15&t=m&z=15

I'm not even sure it's 90 limit all the way, but there isn't any cancelation before the one at the end of the marked section.

What's the best route from Bolzano to Dolo, Venezia on a Sunday (29.09)?
1. A22: http://goo.gl/maps/rVAEc
2. SS47 with maybe stop in Bassano del Grappa: http://goo.gl/maps/zDV79

Actually I noticed that. I drove 90-100 km/h at the interchange and ~ 1 km after it and I didn't notice any cancelation for the 90 km/h speed limit, so I went with the others after about 1 km.

I actually recommend a third route that takes just as long as the second http://goo.gl/maps/vHz4d and winds through the mountains without the annoying sector full of roadside houses and low speed zones as the #2: http://goo.gl/maps/vHz4d

Thanks for the suggestion. Castel Beseno looks pretty nice and it's on the way. I could trade this for the stop in Bolzano. Nice views also in Streetview with this castle http://goo.gl/maps/J7Vte and http://goo.gl/maps/PQKAZ (to bad I would travel in the other way here).

What about another place for a stop between Kufstein and Bolzano? With 2 planned stops the journey should not be that hard to make.
Anyway, I wouldn't drive on those winding roads at dark, and it's getting dark before 20:00 now. And because my gf has emergency nightshift until Sunday morning, we probably won't be leaving Ingolstadt before 10:30.

I'm not exactly sure were the Brennerautobahn special toll road begins, to exit in the toll section would mean to pay again on reentering, right?
