If you go for instance from Ljubljana to Venice via Gorizia (H4/A34= 9,40 €) is 0,70 € cheaper than via Trieste (A3/A4= 10,10 €). Via Gorizia is a little bit shorter, but the time you spend for this route is the same as you go via Trieste I think. So you choose I drive a lot this route (I-SLO) and sometimes I go via Trieste, sometimes via Gorizia... But now when A34 is finished I definitely will go via Gorizia, beacouse is less congested and the landscape on H4 is very nice

Trieste-Villesse was 1.60 € before, now it's 0.70 € more. 1.60 - 0.70 = 0.90 €. So it should still be 90 cents cheaper via Gorizia, but it's just 70. Just how did they calculate that?

Venice - Ljubljana via Gorizia: 9,40€ toll in Italy + 15,00€ vinjeta
Venice - Ljubljana via Fernetti: 10,10€ toll in italy + 15,00€ vinjeta
Udine - Ljubljana via Gorizia: 3,00€ toll in Italy + 15,00€ vinjeta
Udine - Ljubljana via Fernetti: 3,70€ toll in Italy + 15,00€ vinjeta
http://www.infotraffico.autovie.it/Pedaggi

Via Gorizia now is always 2km shorter and 0,70€ cheaper (it used to be 1,30€ or € 1,40 cheaper until yesterday) than via Fernetti. However, the speed limit on the whole H4 is just 110, while via Fernetti it's motorway all the way, apart few hundred meters through the former border checkpoint.

Than the Villesse exit won't need this expensive viaduct, but only simple trumpet exit, in direction of ikea. Overpass for have been alredy done, so you can reach Villesse.

why the Vilesse exit wouldn't need a viaduct? I think they would build one regardless of toll station.

Plan for the widening of the A53 Bereguardo - Pavia. Completion expected in 2015.
This motorway was opened in 1960 together with the A7 and its still in its original shape (2 narrow lanes and no shoulders).

Very nice photos... But in direction SLO I don't understand why they put obligation to get on one lane before Gorizia exit, while works are 1 km ahead... They can put traffic on one lane after Gorizia exit. Really ridiculous...

To avoid people arriving at the construction site at 130 and braking suddenly with consequences you can imagine. 1km it's just half minute at motorway speed.
People exiting at Gorizia need to slow down because they go off, those going straight to SLO need to slow down either because of roadworks at the border.

Knowing that Venice is 120,5km ahead is as important as knowing you're 54m before a roundabout.

They had a thing with 0,5 distances on whole A34. any other motorway in Italy like that?

I like your videos, they are always neat and the image is stabilized.

Are you planning making videos of Torino-Savona now?
