Legend of the map (prepared by a respectable newspaper)

Green = shovel-ready, works can realistically begin in less than 12 months
Yellow = works can realistically begin soon, but not before 12 months
Orange = approved projects, with third-part financial shortfalls (not related to the "(un)leashed budget provisions) still to be solved

Don't worry, that map won't lead us anywhere.

I'm sceptical too. Something will get built, but that map seems to include way more stuff than there is money for. Probably more stuff than is reasonably needed as well. Italy has a pretty good road infrastructure. I don't think a luck of transport infrastructure is a significant factor in the current economic problems in Italy.

That map doesn't show just roads infrastructures. About half are railways

Only this short section is:
https://www.google.it/maps/place/Cen...d5e50272e7fb9e
It should open in June 2015.

They are working on the T-intersection with the A4 right now, the traffic flow is deviated on a pair of temporary lanes.

Of couse the whole TEM is under heavy work, but only a small part has been opened.

What about them? Resources are going to be found outside the boundaries of this particular law.

On another subject, the dig of northbound Val di Sambro tunnel (3.9 km) within Variante di Valico has been completed today. Only 110 m left on the southbound tunnel. This is the tunnel that caused the Ripoli slide to reactivate, and it's the last tunnel left to be dug in Variante di Valico.

2. Between Padula (Km 103) and Atena Lucana (north direction)

They have doing a huge work, this summer I was in Tropea, and I have to say that the all motorway was really good. Probably better than majority of other european motorway!

Timelapse video about the positioning of the 16-thousand-tons TEEM (A58) tunnel underpassing metro line M2 in Gessate:
How can I embed youtube videos? It seems like I can't.

I was in Italy today. All 15 kilometers of it. I wanted to clinch French A8, but my goal was to drive the Col de la Bonette (highest accessible road in Europe), so I turned around at Ventimiglia. The toll for that short stretch from the French border to Ventimiglia is € 2.50! For like 7 km... You get a ticket at the mainline plaza, which is at the Ventimiglia exit. Then you drive 400 meters on the off ramp and give your ticket to the attendant and pay € 2.50.
