The following new expressway sections are expected to open in early 2016 (it's possible that it's already out-dated ):

Something I particularly don't understand is why so many people who film roads in Italy (I'm obviously not referring to asteryhighways or stabia) insist in using hand-held cameras. It is not like dash mounts are some novelty in Italy...

As a result, if you search for driving videos in Italy, most of them are hand-held, shaky and all, even if you notice the camera is quite good.

When I take my videos, I don't hand-held my mobile. I put it on a frame like Astey and stabia

I'm referring more to people I find when I directly search on Youtube, not on the forum

This is a mystery. I think that hand-held the mobile for taking videos or calling someone when you're driving your car is very dangerous and I usually say that to my parents

Have to be. But you need them close to the point where you decide between the two options. Otherwise they cannot really be considered part of the junction's signage and of any signposting strategy to guide motorists over both options. Which was the original question.

Yeah, you're right.

From what I can remember, there's one just before La Quercia, the north end of A1var.

Don't know about Barberino.

A great tool to avoid to drive into the sun, it helps to optimize your itinerary and/or driving period, in order to catch a video in better conditions.

The video in post #8753 shows the situation at La Quercia. Among the AD signs for the junction is a DRIP. You'll see it at 0.03 in the video. While it appears to be prepared to give seperate message above the inner two lanes (old A1) and the outer two lanes (variante), the message displayed in the video is just a vanilla one. For each direction just the time and a phone number. So that's not helpful at all in assisting motorists to make a decision.

In fact, you can see this a few seconds later in the video, when the driver in the red car seems not to know which direction to take and then switches to 'old' at the very last moment. Maybe not the decision that he or she had wanted to take? The number of motorists taking 'old' in this particular video is higher than I would have expected anyway.

I'm talking about the Pianello - Valfabbrica - Casacastalda stretch.
It's reported that both section will be opened in the first half of 2016 but a first section to be opened in January. Valfabbrica-Casacastalda section is mentioned in the previous sentence but I'm not sure if it really meant this way. I think it's not a linguistic problem but a general with journalists.....

I'll change the expected Valfabbrica-Casacastalda opening to April and remain the Casacastalda – Valfabbrica opening at "Mid 2016" (which means the end of 1st half).

I suggest to use SPV sign...

SPV: Montecchio Maggiore (A4) – Montecchio Maggiore (SR11) 1.2 km (October 2014 to 2016)
SPV: Montecchio/Arzignano (SP246) – Castelgomberto (SP246) 9.8 km [with 1.5 km of tunnel] (October 2014 to 2018)
SPV: Castelgomberto (SP246) – Malo (SP46) 9.1 km [with 5.8 km of tunnel] (October 2014 to 2020)

SPV: Marostica (SP111) – Bassano east (SS47) 8.5 km (February 2013 to 2017)
SPV: Bassano east (SS47) – Mussolente/Loria 5 km (October 2014 to 2017)
SPV: Mussolente/Loria – Montebelluna 11.9 km (October 2014 to 2017)
SPV: Montebelluna – Spresiano (A27) 26 km (? to 2018)

Opening date from local newspaper, distances and name of exits from original project
Thanks .

Two questions:
- Have construction works on the Mussolente/Loria – Montebelluna section really been started in October 2014?
- Is the Montebelluna – Spresiano (A27) section already u/c or when are constructions works announced to be started?

btw: I think the indicated section lengths refer to construction lots. The A31 feeder is east of the autostrada and the section lengths Malo - Thine should be about 7km (to be opened for traffic in 2018) and Thine - Breganze West about 4km (to be opened for traffic in Mid 2016).

Last night I shot these 2 videos on the urban highway of my city (Napoli), which recently underwent the installation of LED lighting system on all 20 km. Now it will begin the painting of all the tunnels (in the second video, minute 1:49 - link - you can see workers painting), and was also replaced the asphalt in various stretches..

Driving from Pozzuoli to Napoli - 2:50 am - :
