It might be look empty but that bypass saved Rome from absolute traffic disaster. What is needed is the western bypass of Rome not the 4 lane on the A1 bypass.

I remember when I was a child and there was the distinction between A1 and A2, both heading to GRA: the stretch between the two highways was incredibly jammed. The trip to reach Naples last 1 or 2 hour more

Just rode the Mestre bypass at night..6 lanes + shoulders.

Awesome and mighty.

Just getting to the out off Rome to A1 and A2 was 1 hour or more before the bypass. It was like the "tangenziale di Mestre"

When I was small, I remember people making 3 out of 2 lanes on GRA.

Just 2 km on the inside lane to go and its finished. You must still be small.

They should reorganize the exit sign, group the white, blue and green destinations together and it's much easier to comprehend.

B/c it's an airport, I suppose, but I'm talking about the town FIUMICINO, where it says autostrada "A" leads. Why just "A"?

Are there any signs for the Vatican in Rome? All I've found is S. Pietro.

No Vatican signs hopefully. Have you checked the Slovenian embassy just around the corner?
The really ubiquitous signs in Rome are the "Auditorium" ones. They are everywhere, any neighborhood has at least 50 random signs of that kind, many people use them to find the way back home.

Yes, I was quite surprised to stumble upon it; quite posh location. What are the other two coats of arms on the building? Is that Russian flag on the left, or another Slovenian one?

It's a Russian flag and the central one is the coat of arms of the Pope since it is the Embassy to the Holy See. This is your embassy to the Italian Republic, in the über-posh Parioli neighbourhood.

What's in the first building then? Sorry for OT, but why do we need a consulate in Caltanissetta (Sicily)?

Lulz. The consulate in Caltanissetta is probably just a honorary one (no offices, no carreer diplomats - just a local resident, sometimes even a foreigner, whom the government can rely on). A family friend of mine is honorary consul of Liberia in a secluded town in Sicily.
In the first building there are the Slovenian+Russian embassies, which share the same building. Embassies to the Holy See don't need more than an appartment or two usually.

How can we have two embassies in one country?

Gee, that one is to the Vatican, not Italy.
