2x3 expansion of A4 between Portogruaro (A28) and Palmanova (A23) will be completed in 2020.

Opening of bypasses of Pordenone, San Vito al Tagliamento, and Dignano are scheduled for 2019.

The southern bypass of Udine (Basagliapenta - Zugliano link) and the reconstruction of SS52bis (Tolmezzo - Austrian border) are scheduled for 2021.

Can you describe the route of Pordenone bypass? I have discovered 2 months ago decent eastern bypass through commercial zone, but it was very congested.

This page is updated in 2012, so I'm not sure if this is still the same project:

Pordenone bypass will follow approximately this route:

Is the whole SS52bis going to be reconstructed or just a part of it?

It's off topic, but the article also mentions a railway investment at the Campo Marzio station in Trieste. Are there any more details about that project?

Ministry of Transport published the tariff raises authorized for all the Italian motorway concessionaires.
The highest raise granted is a staggering +52.69% for Aosta-Mont Blanc tunnel, going from 5.60 € to 8.40 €. Other noteworthy raises are + 12.89% for A24/A25, +13.91% for A7 Milano-Serravalle and Milan Tangenziali.
The average, counting kilometers of the whole net, is 2,74%.

Aren't those government officials there to serve the public? A 50% toll increase is ridiculous.

Which is supposed to create a liveable environment for the people.

+13% on A24 is just one of the yearly thefts they do on an already heavily disrupted area.

Roma - Teramo, 146km, 20€.
Roma - Firenze, 260km, 18€.

There is probably not a lot of political opposition to it, there is almost nothing west of Aosta, so it serves mainly international traffic. Tolls at the Monte Bianco are no joke either, almost € 45 for a car and € 330 for a semi truck.

Not so sure. On the A24, especially for the Roma - Carsoli section, there is a lot of opposition. People from Tivoli, Mandela, Vicovaro, Carsoli and all towns in the Aniene Valley rely solely on that motorway, being the free alternative undriveable most of the times and taking that at least 1h more.

Also, Ponte di Nona, Settecamini and Lunghezza, formally part of Rome municipality and Rome city, heavily commuting to/from the center every day, will receive the same raise. And they pay a fare for a "mountain motorway" which the A24 is, but not in that specific section.

The tariff is calculated and referred also to the the investment that has benn made on the Highway, using this formula:

ΔT = 70%ΔP + X Investimenti + K

P : inflation rate;
X : investiment rate
K: remuneration rate

The Cipe (government infrastructure agency), establish the "X factor"

(my english is not so good, so somebody can do a better translation )

This section of A5 was fairly expensive to construct, but traffic volumes are low (there are only some 5,000 vehicles per day through the Mont Blanc Tunnel). So even with a 50% toll increase, the overall toll revenue won't be that high.

I suppose most people will use that section only infrequently, so there won't be a lot of opposition to it, compared to A24.

Here the details :

Asti-Cuneo S.p.A. 0,00%; ATIVA S.p.A. 1,72%; Autostrade per l’Italia S.p.A. 1,51%; Autostrada del Brennero S.p.A. 1,67%; Autovie Venete S.p.A. 1,88%; Brescia-Padova S.p.A. 2,08%; Consorzio Autostrade Siciliane 0,00%; CAV S.p.A. 0,32%; Centro Padane S.p.A. 0,00%; Autocamionale della Cisa S.p.A. 0,00%; Autostrada dei Fiori S.p.A. 0,98%; Milano Serravalle Milano Tangenziali S.p.A. 13,91%; Tangenziale di Napoli S.p.A. 4,31%; RAV S.p.A. 52,69%; SALT S.p.A. 2,10%; SAT S.p.A. 1,33%; Autostrade Meridionali (SAM) S.p.A. 5,98%; SATAP S.p.A. Tronco A4 8,34%; SATAP S.p.A. Tronco A21 1,67%; SAV S.p.A. 0,00%; SITAF S.p.A. 5,71%; Torino - Savona S.p.A. 2,79%; Strada dei Parchi S.p.A. 12,89%; Bre. be. mi. 4,69%, TEEM 2,70% e Pedemontana Lombarda 1,70%.
...

and more details :

It happened near Brescia. A truck full of gravel hit a car, that crashed against a tanker truck full of fuel, that caught fire. The 5 occupants of tha car and the tanker driver died, the trucker who caused the accident managed to run away quickly. They have to assess wether the overpass is damaged or not.

As I understood, it was the tanker driver who managed to come out unscathed, while the crasher (a Macedonian working for an Italian company) died.
The car belonged to a French family, 3 adults and two children, all died
