Places like Munich (the Messe - exhibition) have a shopping quarter in the area and scores of restaurants and hotels to keep it busy. I just think Solihull council should be encouraged to bring in a development company to design something similar to keep the NEC buzzing after hours. And what's wrong with aircraft noise - people in Sheldon put up with it, and it does go hand in hand with living in a city.

Hi all. I'm a Shirley resident for 5 years now. I'm surprised there's no mention of Dickens Heath contruction, TRW site or (wary of controvercy) Shirley Advance.
One of the office blocks on the Stratford Road (next to the BP garage & Driving Test Centre) is undergoing a major refit. I can get some photos if anyone is interested. |
