They dismantled few years ago and replaced it with a normal one.
I miss Montparnasse-Bienvenue of nearly ten years ago.

When I moved in Paris in 2002, Montparnasse Bienvenue station was very high tech with LCD screens everywhere.
I could see the weathers, news, movie trailer (at this time it was Ice Age and Men in Black II).

Today Montparnasse-Bienvenue. seems very low tech, not at all the place it was before.

Here a picture in 2007, at this time the other LCD screens were not fuctionning anymore.

It's clear to me why it's no longer the way you wish: too much clutter. Tell me, was the central travelator (9KPH) the speedier one of the lot?

The other walkways run at 3km/h, so the highspeed was three time faster. At the beginning it was supposed to be even faster, 12 km/h.
It is clear that the high speed walkway was a failure but without all the animation that we had in the past, Montparnasse-Bienvenue seems very boring.

That's a shame. I was there back in 2007 and I remember there was staff there too maintain safety. That need to be expensive..

Thanks for info.

Same thing with Line 12 extension whose sidetrack will reach La Courneuve RER station, opening way for a possible transfer station in the future.

We would need to built a new tunnel for the arrière-station and with the dificult soil of Bagneux (full of quarries) it will not be so easy.
A station near Bagneux town hall is not a good idea, the district is pretty much a medium density residential area with nothing.
Place Dampierre 500m furter in the town center of Bagneux would be a better area for a new station.

Kléber has four platforms.
While CDG Etoile is the offical last stop of the line 6 for passengers, in reality it is at Kléber that the driver change.
Kleber acts more as the terminal stop for service.

This explain why the stop can be very long at this station, despite being one of least busy station of the line.

Stop at Kleber can also be long when CDG Etoile is congested, CDG Etoile has only one track.
This is the case on the last picture of my previous post, this is why we see two trains in direction of Etoile.

Looking from the graphic from earlier (the original drawings prior to construction), it appears Etole was not well planned for Line 6, even though it is a terminating station (one platform? they should have built 2)

BTW: MP 89CC #07 is now running on Line 4 as of 01/25/12, making it train #12 on the line.

The line 4 has 48 trains, among them 36 are MP59 and 12 are MP89.
25% of the rolling stock of line 4 are MP89.
The next MP89 arriving are the CC08 (02/01), CC09 (02/08), CC12 (02/15), one MP89 every Wednesday.

Châtelet

MP89 CC07

Perhaps the radius would have been too tight.

So in actuality, the number of trains on Line 4 will increase by 5 trains once the cascading is finished? There are 53 MP 89CC trains right?
