A connection between Rome and Pont Cardinet would be over 800m long!
Impossible.

Then what do they plan to do then? Is it not feasible at all to build an interchange with Rome?

For the moment and for several decades we should forget the idea of a transfer between lines 2 and 14.
A bad planning due to a bad saving.

They should not have altered the plans for northern 14. Just left it taking over the Genevillers branch of 13. That would have made more sense long term. Oh well.

Palais Royal – Musée du Louvre
The station is under in renovation, they have begun the works with the corridors.
Tites have been removed and I have noticed that the corridor under the platforms of line 7 has brick walls.

Platforms of line 1 will close from January 6 to March 2, 2014.
Platforms of line 7 will close from May 4 to July 24, 2014.

Ancient tunnels.

I noticed on the Symbioz discussion about possibly making some lines of the Metro 24/7 one day has received some mixed opinions.

Personally, I'd like to see Line 14 run 24/7 one day, but I'm not sure if it would be possible with the other lines, being that they are spaced so closely. Perhaps some busier stations could remain open, while others close. But that's just my opinion.

I know, I am the creator this discussion.
It is primarly about the Friday and Saturday night.

Now that London Underground has annonced 24/24 service on weekends, it is just a matter of time before Paris turn.
The question of Paris night life is a quite big topic on current Paris mayoral election campaign.

Wow! That makes sense, especially being that London is so busy.

It would make sense to bring the discussion to Paris, especially with GPE.

We can't say that Paris metro has the heaviest metro worldwide.

Now if only we could picture an MP 59 entering this station. It probably won't happen...

I can envision an MP 89CC arriving though.

Most metro systems' elevated sections have to be made out of concrete nowadays, and it is rare for one new elevated section to be made of steel.

Yes, seems too light. I'm afraid in reality it wouldn't be that thin and elegant.
