Nice video, but there are some stations missing.

I don't know why there is a cut in Glaciere station which suddenly becomes Nationale station

The Line 9 stations along the dual-level portion (Where Line 8 is on the upper level and Line 9 is on the lower level) are designed this way due to soil issues that arose during construction.

Grand Paris Express
Nothing new but some maps of the lines and planned opening dates

Line 11 (extension)
  • Note that this map doesn't highlight the current extension Mairie des Lilas / Rosny Bois-Perrier which should open in 2019
  • Rosny Bois-Perrier / Noisy-Champs : 2025

Line 14 (extension)
  • St-Lazare / Mairie de Saint-Ouen (STIF/RATP) : 2017
  • Mairie de Saint-Ouen / Saint-Denis Pleyel : 2023
  • Olympiades / Villejuif IGR : 2023
  • Villejuif IGR / Aéroport d’Orly : 2027

Line 15
  • Pont-de-Sèvres / Noisy-Champs : 2020
  • Pont-de-Sèvres / Nanterre : 2025
  • Saint-Denis Pleyel / Rosny-Bois Perrier : 2025
  • Nanterre / Saint-Denis Pleyel : 2027
  • Rosny-Bois Perrier / Champigny Centre : 2030

Line 16
  • Saint-Denis Pleyel / Noisy-Champs : 2023
The line 16 and 17 have a shared part between Saint-Denis Pleyel and Le Bourget RER
I will soon write a more complete post about the line 16 and all its stations.

Line 17
  • Le Bourget RER / Triangle de Gonesse : 2025
  • Triangle de Gonesse / Aéroport Charles de Gaulle (T4) : 2027
  • Aéroport Charles de Gaulle (T4) / Le Mesnil-Amelot : 2030

Line 18
  • CEA Saint-Aubin / Massy : 2023
  • Massy / Aéroport d’Orly : 2027
  • CEA Saint-Aubin / Versailles Chantiers : 2030
The part between Versailles Chantiers and La Defense is planned for a more distant future.

16 years to build a 200km and a 5 line metro network is pretty quick. I don't know many cities that have built such a massive network in such a little time. Even the Paris metropolitain started in 1900 took longer to build.

The works will start very soon for the first part of line 11, 14 and 15. The rest of the network will be built in stages over the next 10 years.

I don't think anyone should complain about the time it takes to build GPE. This is the most ambitious subway project since the inception of the Metro itself.

2027 for the extension to Orly?!!? This is just ridiculous! it's 15km from the city center!

At that point we'll be building a third airport in the East!
This is the taxi and Air France shuttles lobby I tell you!
