@Those who are very knowledgable about Paris Metro:

Is there A website which has information on Paris Metro average platform width? (not length)

Kind regards & thank you for the reply in advance.

@VincentB:

Thank you, my problem with French wikipedia articles about Paris metro..
They're too large, I have difficulty learning A new language, so it's A bit discouraging to start reading the enormous & very informative French articles about French public transport.

I did find the part you reffered to, and am using A online translator as I type this.

I agree. However, they contain a whole lot more info than the English pages.

The Line 12 and 14 articles are almost carbon copies of their French articles, while the rest are shorter.

I have made many improvements to the Line 4 page.

From Railway Gazette:

Grand Paris funding
03 Aug 2014

FRANCE: Société du Grand Paris approved €3·49bn for the Grand Paris project last month. The investment will go towards construction of Lines 16 between Noisy-Champs and Saint-Denis-Pleyel, as well as Line 17 South from Le Bourget RER station to Triangle-de-Gonesse and Line 14 North from Mairie de Saint-Ouen to Saint-Denis-Pleyel.

The 29 km of underground automated metro lines would include nine stations, including seven interchanges with RER, metro or tram lines. Rolling stock will be funded separately, with a decision expected in late 2015.

A public inquiry will be held later this year, with construction due to start in 2016. Lines 16 and 17 would open in 2023.

RATP has awarded a €165m contract to a consortium of Bouygues Travaux Publics and Soletanche Bachy for a 2·2 km extension of metro Line 14 from Clichy-Saint Ouen to Pleyel

The line 5 serves Gare d'Austerlitz (the station after Quai de la Rapée in the southbound) which is located near the Jardin des Plantes.

Gare d'Austerlitz is the less used big train terminal of Paris.
It lost most of its main line traffic to Gare Montparnasse because of the Atlantic high speed line.
The station itself is cut in two because of the track of the RER C.
Half of the main hall is not accessible.

Everything will change in few years, the station is currently under in renovation, the area around Gare d'Austerlitz will be redevelopped with many new office and retail space.
