Now THAT's neat! It really shows what Oui-dire is about.

I agree. And it's a good place to start: this was a pretty dour station in a pretty grotty part of town. It's a good idea to liven things up a bit.

I further have a comment on a previous point about platform doors. A couple of posters said that they are a good insurance against people falling, or trespassing on the tracks. Now, the first I understand (there's sadly a lot of suicides in the metro), but TRESPASSING?? The Paris metro takes its electricity from a third track on the ground. Trespassing there sounds to me like swimming in a sharks tank!?

Réaumur–Sébastopol is a grotty part of Paris?

Take it from experience. The 3rd rail is nowhere near enough to stop track-walkers.

The most recent rolling stock was this MF 67, but restored in its original condition :

But there was something more to see that was a big surprise to me... A few months ago, I wrote about a 0 scale network, built to train the employees of the metro. It was said that this network had been destroyed.

In fact, many parts of this masterpiece were recently discovered ! More than 90% still exist, in very bad condition...

...but its restoration has begun in 2014 :

Is that thought offensive to you? Most of my visitors from Scandinavia ask me NOT to be taken to the neighbourhood around Les Halles and between Les Halles and the Gare du Nord, because they consider it as being it a place for "riff-raff" (=racaille).

But, then again, this may be simply some silly prejudice.

Well the only reason why is because they cut the power when someone is track walking.

Well, yes, when the professionals are making their scheduled rounds (sometimes). But trespassers don't allow a little thing like lethal amounts of electricity to stop them.

I don't get why RATP doesn't have all longitude seating on Line 13, it would greatly increase capacity.

Does this imply that they have shifted to full-length trains on Line 14? The MP 05 is as far as I know the version of driver-less metro first developed for the renovation of Line 1. Conversely, Line 14 initially had long platforms but short train sets. I knew that this was going to change in connection with the prolongation of Line 14 to Saint Ouen, but I had no idea that (?) it has happened already.
