The works for the station renovation of Châtillon-Montrouge, including those needed for the new line under construction (Line 15), started this week. The bus station is out of service and bus stops for numerous lines (including 68, 323, 391 and Noctilien services) have been scattered on the roads near the station.

Excellent news! The current station is a bit run-down and not terribly coherent: elevated metro track in the middle (complete with narrow staircases so that there are serious bottlenecks during rush our), new tram line on one side and an old bus station on the other. Once the new line 15 is inaugurated (on the opposite side of the bus station) things could get even messier. Do you know if there's a plan somewhere online of the project plans?

13 stations have been renamed for 1 April, bit of fun from RATP.

Can't post the link with my first post here.

Some stations change their names this April 1st.

Opéra becomes Apéro

Quatre Septembre becomes Premier Avril (To match current date)

Parmentier becomes Pomme de Terre (Parmentier popularised potato in France and Europe)

Pyrénées becomes Alpes

Telegraphe becomes #Tweet (Nobody uses Telegraph anymore according to the RATP, so the name needed to be updated)

Crimée becomes Crimée Châtiment (this is pronounced like "Crime et Châtiment", Crime and Punishment the famous novel of Dostoevsky)

Anvers (Anvers is Antwerp in French but it sounds like enver which could mean inverse)

Château d'Eau becomes Château de Sable

Electric.

It's a TMA, that run on batteries.

The TME have a similar look but they use the third rail.

TMA also uses third rail (you can see it on pictures) but it can run on batteries when power is cut during work.

Madeleine
New SIEL screens. These will replace the old CRT screens still in use on line 14 to give next trains arrival times and other information.

It seems like they are harder to read from a distance than the old ones?
