If purchase is only possible at a ticket window, can you give me an estimation of how crowded they are at Gare de l'Est around 10:30 on Monday?

Thank you!
You have to go at a manned ticket office for the Navigo Decouverte.
For the photo, you just have to put on the card (There is an adhesive part).
I don't know how busy is Gare de l'Est at 10:30 am.
If the ticket offices at the metro station are too crowded, you can even get a Navigo Decouverte card at the counters next to suburban rail platforms (platforms 13 to 22).
I don't think that those will be busy at 10:30 am on Monday.

3)What is the REAL deadline for completion?

I don't know.
I think there are some works around every stations of line 15 south.
Line 15 south : 33 km, 16 stations.
It should open by 2022.

I went to Chelles and I saw preparatory work for line 16.

The City of Lights: Views from the Eiffel Tower

Quote:
When it was first proposed to serve as the grand entryway to the 1889 World's Fair, Parisian bohemians rallied against the erection of the "useless and monstrous Eiffel Tower," as described in a petition titled "Artists against the Eiffel Tower." Originally viewed as an intrusion on the "untouched beauty" of Paris, a perceived "gigantic black smokestack" that would "crush" and "humiliate" the existing stock of famous landmarks, the 324-metre wrought iron lattice tower has become one of the most iconic structures in the world.

The RATP journey finder behaves a bit weird. First it proposes for Chateau Landon <-> Crimee the bus, okay I can click on "Ferre" to make that stop. But then it proposes to walk to Gare de l'Est and take Metro 7 from there... what? I'll better find my routes myself...

Gare de l'Est
Work on the platforms. They removed the floor coating.
I think it's part of the work for the installation of platform doors.

Gambetta (3bis) :

The line 3bis is the shortest line of the network ; it's the former eastern part of the line 3. In the 60's, a new section was built between the Gambetta station of the line 3 and the city of Bagnolet.

As a result, the section between Gambetta and Porte des Lilas was converted into a separate line.

The existing Gambetta station became the terminus of the M3bis. A new Gambetta station was built on the M3.

The tunnel between the M3 and the M3 bis was converted into this footpath (the first pic is a view on the Gambetta station of the M3bis) :

Are they going to merge (simple as reopening one station as the track is there) the 3bis with the 7bis, or is that just a join the dots plan that would have little real point?

It's planned but only on the long term, it's not a priority :

It's a serious plan, though. Not something that is pie-in-the-sky or fantasy.

No one was suggesting it was pie-in-the-sky or fantasy.

I was merely wondering whether it was a useful thing that was actually going to happen or something only proposed because the tracks are already there and it looks silly not to propose it.

This is hard to read between the lines on. Either:
- it adds something, but not very much, and the small amount of money is better used elsewhere at the moment
- or it's a pointless thing, but it looks so simple and cheap to do that it has to be at least planned to be done at some point or RATP would look silly and the low priority, long-term, nature of the proposal is code for "we really can't be bothered, but we might if we need to look like we're doing something".

It actually adds a fair amount, and is planned to be part of a longer line eventually. Its just low on the priority list at the moment.

Where is the line planned to be extended, I haven't heard that before?

To Chateau-Landon.

Pasteur (L6 & 12) ; it was an interchange station between the two networks : the L6 was exploited by the CMP, the L12 by the Nord-Sud ; the station has two entrances : one in the Nord-Sud style, and the other in the background in the distinctive Guimard-CMP style. It's probably the sole place in Paris where you can shoot those two styles of entrances on a single picture.

There is also Pigalle where you can shoot a photo with both a CMP (Guimard) and Nord Sud entrances.

With a good lens, it is also possible at Place de Clichy.

Mouton-Duvernet
The station is closed until November 13.
I think the closure of the station in relation with the installation of platform doors.
Heavy work is on platforms.

This station has CMP Guimard entrance.

Speaking of low distance between stations, Mouton-Duvernet entrance is just 270m away of the southern entrance of the next station Denfert-Rochereau.
As such despite being on a shopping streets in a densely populated area, this station has a pretty low ridership (1,755,408 entries in 2015).
Most people goes to Alesia (5,124,204 entries) or Denfert-Rochereau (8,809,468 entries).
