Château Rouge

After a closure of one year, Château Rouge on line 4 reopened at the beginning of August.
They enlarged the ticket hall and created a new access to cope with the crowd.

New access

Larger ticket hall

Platforms are still under renovation work.
As the line 4 will become driverless, they will install platform doors. They wait this installation before completing the renovation.

Marcadet Poissonniers (M12) :

Smooth curved walls are typical of former Nord-Sud stations ; curved walls in CMP stations were more angular :

Not sure how accurate the info is, but from the chatter on Symbioz, it is predicted that the MP 89CC will be cascaded to the (6) at some point in 2021 and some sort of renovation may be performed as well.

It seems very unclear as to how the transition will be executed on the (11), but I think it will wind up being that the opening of the Rosny extension will be timed somehow to the rollout of the MP 14s, especially if the project hits significant delays for some reason. The chance of ever seeing an MP 59 or MP 73 on the (11) upon opening of the Rosny extension would be seemingly low.

Again though, I'm not sure how accurate this all is. It seems to be all chatter. Unless there's something I've missed Minato.

PARIS | Metro

It's the station "Place Monge" on the line 7, near Roman's Lutecia Arena. Exit Navarre Street in the 5th district.

Is it possible to open a thread dedicated to the "Grand Paris express" project?
Composed by several whole lines it will be more interesting to explain all the project no?

I find it fascinating that the STIF/Île-de-France Mobilités stubbornly keeps using its own names and symbols ("Train A") while the RATP and SNCF continue to refuse to change theirs.

I saw the photo and knew where it was instantly.

It's the entry/exit to/from the Place Monge station. It is about a two minute walk from my favorite place in Paris, Paris Jazz Corner! It's the center of the jazz universe in France. It's mostly secondhand jazz records and CD's with some other stuff as well. Too bad you can't Take the A Train to get there!

Again looking at the RATP and Metro Twitter accounts, it looks like there were some interesting historical Metro events on for this year's Journées du Patrimoine - did anyone here go along and get some photos?

Breathtaking video about the most advanced GPE station, Fort d’Issy - Vanves – Clamart:

The focus is on the operation of the sliding of the pre-built ceiling of the station over the completed station. After that, the railway lines of the overground rail station are rebuilt quickly, so that after a weekend's worth of stoppage, the trains can resume their transit.

Always expected to happen, even with the Olympics on the horizon.

I was in the area in June (was in Paris for the Airshow in Le Bourget) and saw the works, but did not realise it was a a new Metro station. Assumed it was a new building construction. Also a new Apple Store is opening on the Champes Elysees soon not far from this location

Aha so this is completed then, good to know. I saw this under works some months back when the flat escalators were removed and we had to walk the whole way. Also the old version of this area of the escalator is seen in the Movie called "Le Samourai", Alain Delon is chased by the under cover police women. Need to visit Paris again
