If I worked in La Defense the train would be much more crowded.
I took this picture at 6.48 pm on the way to La Defense.
So the people who are inside the train are not the people who work in la Défense but those who live near la Défense or a bit further as la Defense is also a big interchange station with suburban train/RER/tram and bus.

Myself I don't work nor live near la Defense, I just wanted to take some pics in the area (nothing weird for a fan of skyscrapers ).

I'd like to see Paris Metro during rush hours. By the way, what are those doors along the rails for?

Exactly as all the station of the line 1.
The line will become driverless.

I know I'm off-topic since this thread is named "Métro" and I'm talking about RER, so I beg your pardon for asking this: have the new Bombardier Spacium trainsets already been delivered to SNCF? Did anybody have the chance to board one of them to see how they look like? thanks in advance.

This is my favorite video of Paris at rush hour. Perhaps the locals could clarify if this was a special occasion or somehow faked, but this video has been around awhile and definitely illustrates what the morning commute looks like.

I've seen that video as well. Fun to see everyone burst out of the train at once.

Why would it be? That's even nothing. When I was in Paris I almost got pushed on the tracks because there where so much people on the perrons that the walking ways to the perrons got jammed...
Every train that passed was already filled so much that only 10 people could get on it...

I found another video. It's nothing compaired to some other stations. The last video is moe like what I saw but not just quite yet...

A more complete view of the Arc Express subway line ring project.
It show the different route that could use this line. (Of course if it is build only one by would be used).

I didn't know they'd planned a connection with the ligne 9 at Marcel Sembat station... If so, IMHO it's quite silly, because a connection at Pte de St-Cloud station (500-700m away) would be much more useful, especially because of the Parc des Princes and Stade Jean Bouin (not to mention the several office buildings located near Pte de St-Cloud)....

Anyway, I'm a bit lost regarding the projects of new metro lines....

Marcel Samba is the center of Boulogne, it is not a no man's land.
On the day, the area is more busy than Porte de Saint Cloud.

Yeah, i know Marcel Sembat very well, but in terms of passenger traffic, Pte de St-Cloud Station is far ahead. Almost half of passengers leave the trains at Pte de St-cloud during the morning rush hour (the same during the evening rush hour, because of the bus lines toward suburbs at the Pte de St-Cloud' bus terminal).

Not to mention, again, the weekly games at the Parc des Princes (50,000 seats) + Jean Bouin (soon to be 22,000 seats) stadiums !

PS: Marcel Sembat is not the centre of Boul-Bill. anymore , anyway this "carrefour" has never been busier than Pte de St-cloud (a McDo. and few clothes shops don't mean it's busier).

I desagree with the post scriptum and I will add that Marcel Samba has also a KFC, one of few KFC in the west of Paris.
Anyway the Arc Express is a ring line in the inner suburbs, so it will not serve any point inside the Peripherique.

Will the ARC express be considered part of the Métro network or the RER network?
