Hi. Been searching for a thread for this but couldn't find one, unless I missed it out.

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on this upcoming project of DMCI which is located at Dr. Sixto Avenue, Pasig City. It's one of their low-rise projects, similar to the East Ortigas, Mayfield, Raya, etc. projects.

Thanks for all those who replied! I'm interested in DMCI low-rise projects kasi and Riverfront looks promising. It's near my area of work plus accessible to public transpo (I don't drive) and it's near malls, wet market, church.

Has anyone of you purchased from DMCI projects? Is it worth it?

Sorry, the images I got are too small. Just found on the net that these units are selling for P1.836 M. If anyone knows about the details, post them here. Can't say if the units are expensive or not, just looking at it, they look like flat units. But at P 1.8M maybe I will put my investment elsewhere.

DMCI is a reputable company, although I don't know their track record in delivery. What do you guys think?

Their projects are ussually inexpensive and good value. They deliver very well and quickly now.

They previously had another company called universal rightfield that developed Pioneer Highlands and the shareholders in that company and some of the buyers had problems.

They should be ok now since most the real estate companies have been reborn. They make their own buildings so they construct very fast.

According to the agent that I'm dealing with - DMCI projects are on time naman daw. The quotation I got was:

49.5 unit - 2bedroom, 1t&b

Price: P2.1+ million

Pasig has always been associated with the infamous river which bears her name, which flows throughout Manila as silent witness to history. On the other hand, the city can be said to have borrowed the name of this important body of water, which connects Laguna de Bay and Manila Bay. Pasig is derived from a Hindu word meaning “a body of water connecting two bodies of water.”

While Pasig River has aged in a rather unflattering manner, Pasig the city has thrived in recent years, emerging as a primary commercial district of the metropolis. Today, the traveler can satisfy his wanderlust going around the streets of Pasig, each corner throbbing with excitement, and providing an allusion to culture and history that have shaped this city.

Being the former capital of the province of Rizal before Metro Manila was formed, the provincial capitol is still located in Pasig City. Pasig is situated along the eastern border of Metro Manila, bordered on the west by Quezon City and Mandaluyong; to the north by Marikina; to the south by Makati, Pateros, and Taguig; and to the east by the municipality of Cainta.

The emergence of Pasig as a highly-industrialized city was instigated by the rise of Ortigas Center, one of the top business districts in the metropolis. There are several high-rise office buildings, schools, and other institutions that dot its imposing skyline, exuding a cosmopolitan image as a progressive city of the future.

Pasig is home to the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), Rizal High School, the Meralco Compound, the Philippine Stock Exchange headquarters, and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines head office — establishing the area as an important destination for businessmen, expatriates, academicians, students, and other transients.

As an old city, it also houses antique homes, buildings, churches and museums, among them Bahay ng Tisa, one of the oldest houses in the country built in 1850, and Concepcion Mansion built in 1937. Pasig also boasts of a park built by the local government for its constituents. The Rainforest Park has a swimming pool, a skating rink, a picnic place and a botanical garden.

Pasig City is politically subdivided into 30 barangays and was converted into a highly urbanized city through Republic Act 7829, in July 1994. Big companies and organizations continue to set up their offices at Ortigas Center, further establishing the city as a primary residential-industrial, and commercial town.

Among the towering structures now emerging within the city is a prime mid-rise condominium development that aims to address the housing needs of Pasig dwellers. And the association dues is 35php per sq. m. sa riverfront...last time I inquired.

Wow, this is the kind of project that really shows the Pasig river has been resuscitated! I was in Manila last week and saw how clean Pasig is compared to 15 years ago when it was covered with garbage.

We took a pedicab (yes, the manual one) from Divisoria and was headed for Taft Ave., when by accident, I saw a sign that read "Pasig Ferry Station." You bet we took a ferry ride from the Escolta area, and my, it was one pleasurable trip. The view from Pasig isn't postcard perfect, but its transformation is amazing. Hats off to the people behind the gargantuan task of cleaning up the Pasig.

Yes, there were a few breathtaking sights, from inside the airconditioned ferry. We noticed hundreds of seagulls and kingfishers swooping down the river. That means the river is now teeming with fish! It's really alive

We disembarked at Hulo Station, took a 2 minute banca ride to the Rockwell side. It was an experience, I tell you. You should try the ferry ride.

The next time, the trip will be all the way to DMCIs project The ferries certainly will make trips faster for residents in the project. Maraming stations along the river.
