Another bullshit comment from Montevideo. What kind of response is this anyway? For one, you have to be pretty tasteless to call it ugly, as it is one of the nicer in the tallest block, IMO, and two - "pencil tower"? Hmm. Wow. You prefer "***** towers" or what? Most of world's skyscrapers can be compared to pencils, dildos, boxes and other bland terms not giving them any justice.

Nothing wrong with a different opinion per se ... but having them because of prejudices and skyscraper-unrelated geopolitics, is a totally different thing.

Yes it happen, and way too often.

I don't think it's ugly at all, adds plenty to the skyline.

Doesn't look that bad, but the density is way too high and they look a bit lathy...

I know I expressed my opinion in a rather disrespectful way and I'm sorry. What I meant to say is that I find most towers in this picture below to be both heavily overloaded and of unusual proportions, unnecessarily tall and thin. Making, in my opinion, quite an unpleasant image to look at. But, of course that is my opinion and I canīt say everybody would think the same as I do.

Agus_south, You`re not alone in your thoughts....
What at first appear to be so attractive (a dense group of skycrappers), really ends being a very oppressive urban group of buildings. Maybe I`m just a weird man, unhappy with this results for Dubai.

my favorite quote of the day: "unnecesary tall and thin".

remember, those towers are mainly built for people that will be inside looking out - not the other way around. mainly.

I personally like my unit above the 80th floor. Hence it clearly is a necessity for those towers to be that tall. at the end of the day it's ours, and we make the decision. hurray!! decision is: super tall. you build your house to your specs. probably "unnecessary" small, but only in my opinion.

like it or not, but for us owners it's necessary. sorry it doesn't meet your taste.

so keep on walking down the street - there is plenty of highrises, and villas thereafter to enjoy. that's actually good about Dubai, everyone will find something according to their height preference...

Because these towers are so thin, I like it that they stand so close to each other.

I think most people are too used to seeing the tight clusters of the robust, boxy, glassy office buildings in USA that they find that to be the only type of attractive skyline. I used to be like that too but now the cluster seem better looking every single time.

Also, this picture is a relatively horrible representation of the Dubai Marina, with hazy skies and all. There are much better pictures.

04March

Podium scaffolding coming down unveiling the cladding and the brown (looks like marble) natural stone applications.

Front (sea side) got a large convenient store right next to the entrance (Carrefour). A tram station is going to be there as well. How convenient. Lucky Elite Residence residents!

Back Side:

Are there any Elite investors reading this? Doesn't seem to be a lot of feedback or investors discussion going on in this thread compared to others...

I thought all four sides were the same but apparently not.
At one side a round grid and on the side next to it a square grid.

The top looks like a mess, but it is not finished yet.
The base however looks so cheap. Are those plastic panels or so?

Alubond cladding, and it's golden. Although I've noticed that computer screens never show the gold effect properly in this case - it always looks a bit like plastic after converting to jpg.

the real thing actually looks quite nice. also all the white panels need to be put in place frist for the whole concept to make sense.
