I was at Warszawa Centralna last week and I must say that it has improved greatly sinds the last time I was there (november 2010). Wrocław Główny, on the other hand, has only become a bigger mess. It's really irritating that the only entrance is now located on the southern side of the station, so when you need to go to the city center you have to make quite a detour. Hopefully they'll finish that soon.

I ment where that locomotive was made. Nowax wrote above the picture "made in Poland". I assume he was talking about locomotive not about picture itself.

Is there a locomotive factory in Wrocław? I live here and I didn't know about that. Do you have info on that? Like factory name and address?

I know that there is a tram factory in Wrocłow.

I will be visiting Poland next month and am planning to take a TLK train between Warsaw and Krakow, any idea what kind of rolling stock I should expect? I hear that on TLK trains you never know what kind of comfort you'll get, but maybe there is some consistency on main services like Warsaw-Krakow? It's infinitely cheaper than EIC (even in 1st class, which would seem to be a must, since it's the only one that allows for seat booking), so am cautious as to how it will be.

I don't know who told you that TLK trains vary a lot, but I travel all the time around Poland and TLK trains are extremely consistent in my experience.

InterRegio trains vary a lot.

I've only ever seen TLK use 2 types of wagons:

1> the most common by far is the standard old-style PKP kompartment wagon. In the second class you have 6 seats in each compartment, 3 on each side facing each other. In the second class it is the same except that it is 8 seats per compartment, although sometimes they use first class wagons for the second class. There is always a door in the compartment and each wagon has 2 toilets, one on each side of it, so lines to go to the toilet are very rare. It looks like this:

In the first class you can recline your seat, in the second class not.

2> For the second class there are sometimes open space wagons, but never for the first class. These wagons are about 25% of the second class wagons in my experience:

I personally always go for the compartments if I have a choice, I think they are more silent and more confortable. You can control the level of light coming in, but I know that some people prefer the bus-style or airplane-style wagons. In both cases the seats are very similar, so not much change there.
