They gonna run from Warsaw to: Gdansk (2h45min) - around 5h30min at the moment (due to heavy construction works along whole line), Krakow and Katowice (2h15min) -around 2h45min at the present. Also it is taken into consideration making them run to Wroclaw via Czestochowa and Opole (3h30min) - around 6h at the present and finally Rzeszow via Krakow (3h45min) - around 7h15min at the present. Both lines to Wroclaw and Rzeszow require infrastructure to be upgraded.

PKP Intercity will buy 20 EMU. There are 4 offers (CAF, PESA, Stadler and Newag, ZNTK). It's 2nd biggest investment program for Intercity.

How many trains have been ordered?

What is their top operating speed? (is it 250 km/h like the Chinese versions?)

What will their actual top speed be in service?

Operational speed may be increased about 2015-2016 up to 220-230km/h.

As 'lukaszek89' wrote+ they'll be about 150m long, nicely equipped and with top speed of 160km/h. We're still waiting for the winner of this tender. All of them should be ready till the end of 2015.
