Anyone know if the Arabtec sign is back on the project board? Imre, only if you happen to be passing the site, any chance of another pic of that board?

And what if the sign says something else? What difference will it make? The important thing is that work is going on and main contractor (whoever it will be) is on site.

That's true. However, as you know Altin, I reserved an apt here and would like to know who's building this, like many other investors and enthusiasts alike I'm sure, if only for interest if nothing else :-).*

If it's still blank, then I'll make further enquiries with Damac and Arabtec.

If it shows another name now, then I'll check out whoever that company is.

Well, we all want to know, but that should not be the main concern. What is more important now is that work is going on as it should.

True. Better there is work going on without any concern than no work but concern's name appears on that board. lol

It's not about a 'name on a board'. It's about getting some sort of confirmation that a *legitimately capable contractor has been instructed to implement the construction of one of Dubai's potential finest buildings....

They are still exposing the piles, breaking their tops, preparing the rebar and levelling the ground around them, in anticipation for the rebar cage that would form the base of the raft.

I think some pics were posted lately on the UAE forum

how deep is it? do they go very deep in Dubai? we in australia have deepest excavation at about 10floors or 30m. We have a new contender in sydney, soon our tallest building will have 12 basements or 36m depth.for 800cars.

Nah, it never goes that deep. With the high underground water table, it will be un-economical. That's why all the towers here have half the parking floors underground, and half on the podium above ground.

Construction looks good and predictable. The site looks like the Pentominium site did ~ 2 years ago. It appears most of the pile caps are broken, and we should see some concrete soon, I think.
Pouring of the raft around early august, maybe?
