I always love it when you see this sort of thing - coaches and players evidently completely unaware of these sorts of rules. I mean, Gibbs has been around forever. These guys are certainly paid well enough, I don't think it's asking too much to know the rulebook inside and out.
It's always delightfully ironic, though, when the Bills win by means of something having to do with a field goal. Even in meaningless games like today.

He's fat, but he's got some good moves. The crowd cheered when they finally showed him in the third period, and when the song was over and play started again each time. The place really went nuts when he went from some sort of body roll right into the Teacup. He also did the Lawnmower (which I took a picture of), the Sprinkler, the Egyptian, the Booby Shake, and much more. |

Just got a holiday plan from the Nets, which includes the Celtics, Mavs, and Pacers, plus I am going to a game on next week against the Clippers.

Sounds like you got a good plan, if they put games against the Celtics and Mavericks in together.

The Nets lost to Knicks last night, but the Raptors also lost their game against the Suns, so they are still a game behind them.

There is an article in this weeks Sports Illustrated about how the Philadelphia Eagles have the NFL's worst fans. It goes on to quote many NFL players on their experiences in the Big Scrapple.
"Fans threw golf balls at our bus" "Philadelphia is the only place where six-year-olds flip us off and their dads pat them on the backs and say 'good job'" "Terrible room service, terrible food"

What about those father and son dirtbags in Chicago that beat up that base coach or whoever that was a few years ago?
Maybe one isolated incident, but it's probably worse than anything any Philly fan ever thought of doing.

Any more tired and used-up half-truths from 40 years ago that you want to pile on?
Here are some incidents from this decade that have occured: ~Browns fans throw beer bottles onto the field and at the referees after ~Jaguars fans circle around a Bengals fan in a parking garage and beat him up ~Patriots fans throw snowballs at Miami Dolphins players during the game as the Dolphins are backed up at their own end zone ~Jets fan stabs another Jets fan at a game for wearing a Chad Pennington jersey ~The Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals institute hotlines to report bad behavior due to the overwhelming complaints ~Redskins fans knock over porta potties containing Eagles fans going to the bathroom ~Bears fans mock Hurricane Katrina victims in game against the Saints Steelers fans use bad behavior on Maryland delegate Harsh words about the bad behavior of Steelers fans |

Hey, they even once had a paroled convict clear a path through the snow for their kicker. Of course that was actually the team and not the fans. Or maybe that was just more cheating even well before the Belichick era. Regarding snowballs, you forgot the iceballs that Giants fans were throwing into the sidelines (I forget the opponent) several years ago. I remember that caused a pretty big controversy.

It was said that Jason Kidd sat out the last game of the Nets in claiming that he could be wanting a trade.
