Thanks
I was aware that it's incomplete, but didn't know it was going to be such a huge and illogical detour. For this traffic direction they really shouldn't make you go that way. I'm also aware that E75 is a major route so I understand they don't want that traffic through town, but still.

Hopefully, it won't be too long before the old bridge goes under the knife.

Cheers!

Any updates regarding E75 Feketić - Srbobran? I thought it was supposed to open around today.

Today they've said that the remaining sections will open in the next couple of days, certainly before the end of the month.

Also, (re)construction of a 50 million euro road & rail bridge in Novi Sad is expected to finally begin in the first half of October - it's length will be about ~450 meters

Batajnica-Dobanovci section is being built as a full profile motorway from the very start, unlike the rest of the bypass.

Work has recently begun to intensify on the construction site of Belgrade's new Zemun-Borca bridge, the city's new Danube crossing being built at an initial cost of 170 million euros by China's Road & Bridge Corporation (CRBC). This six-lane bridge will be an essential part of a future inner ring road and its expected opening date is sometime in 2014:

Serbia: Financial bids on Prosek-Crvena Reka tender opened

Quote:
Friday 23 September 2011 09:53 Belgrade (BETA) -

The financial section of bids on the public tender for the construction of the Prosek-Crvena Reka section of the E-80 highway, which runs through Serbia from Nis to Dimitrovgrad as…
Quote:
After the opening of technical bids for the public tender invited for construction of Corridor X Section Prosek – Crvena Reka of E-80 highway at the end of June, the financial part of bids was opened on Thursday, 22 September 2011.

Prosek – Crvena Reka Section consists of three parts (LOTs): the route, bridges, and Bancarevo tunnel, with a total length of 22.5 km.

There were 9 financial bids competing for LOT 1, 8 bids for LOT 2, and 6 financial bids for LOT 3.

Prosek – Crvena Reka Section:

LOT 1: E-80 highway construction, open route, and bridges on sector: Prosek – Bancarevo (total length of 9.4 km, full profile, 10 bridges, construction deadline 720 days);

LOT 2: E-80 highway construction, open route, and bridges on sector: Bancarevo – Crvena Reka ( total length 13.1 km, full profile, 5 bridges, construction deadline 720 days);

LOT 3: E-80 highway construction, Bancarevo Tunnel (a tunnel with two tunnel pipes and two traffic lanes, total length of about 750 m, construction deadline 720 days).

All bids must contain a bank guarantee for the bid security in the amount of EUR 1.000.000 for LOT 1,
EUR 1.200.000 for LOT 2, and EUR 600.000 for LOT 3 or a cumulative amount if the offer is submitted for several LOTs.

Works on construction of this Section are financed by the EIB.

The award will be made to the lowest evaluated bid after evaluating all submitted financial bids.

However, contracts could not be awarded due to a mistake in calculations by the Greek consortium consisting of Aktor & Terna, so it will be a few days (weeks? Its Serbia after all) before that will happen.

So, as of now, only one section, betweek Ciflik & Pirot, remains to be tendered on this most crucial section of Serbia's Corridor 10:

Well, a ring road is a must. It will be needed when Serbia starts building the motorway to Romania. (Corrior 11?) I wish I could turn the E70 clockwise and position it towards the city of Timisoara. I am not fun of the E70 because there are too many borders until you reach the Western EU. The E75 is more practical.

Yes, ring road is a must. I also wonder when is motorway from Pancevo to Timisoara gonna be built...

P.S: E-70 connects Eastern and Western EU, E-75 connects Northern and Southern EU and E-80 connects EU with Asia...

Just announced...

- another 10km strech of Novi Sad - Horgos motorway, between Feketic & Vrbas, will officially open on Monday, September 26th. After that, the only thing that remains is a short 5km section, which should be opened shortly as well.

- as of October 1st, construction will finally continue on the ~25km Kragujevac-Batocina motorway, a crucial link between Serbia's fourth largest city and Corridor 10 (Belgrade-Nis motorway)

Not the construction, public tender will be announced then for 4km, and not for the originally planed 9km.
